Anti-Static Mat esd pc repair build With 4mm/Croc Cord (300 x 200mm, Blue)

Excellent size and well manufactured, not had a chance to use the mat yet but my initial impression is that it will meet my needs. As others have said it does have a very strong smell out of the packaging but that clears quickly and doesn't affect the items use.

Works well and is the right size for my desk.

As for the moment, i can't give a proper revue of this mat, as i haven't as yet used the mat for it's intended purposeie in the replacement of a damaged usb socket.when i get round to doing that small task, i will let you know if the mat worksin preventing static discharge on to the unit circuit board.but for now i award three probationary stars to ELCOM (UK) LTDthe mat arrived via the RM on time, was well wrapped and asadvertised with all its component parts intact and undamaged.i will give five stars after the job is completed and the unit is working satisfactorily,and not before.

The item was a little smaller than I was expecting and I had to tactically place my PC over it. However, it's a nice material that is ideal for working on sensitive equipment. Whether it is necessary I don't know, but I rather spend the small amount of money on it than risk hundreds of pounds of computer hardware and the headaches.

Good product, arrived quicker than advertised and very useful. Create my first build avoiding any ESD. Worth the buy. Very pleased as a budding PC builder

I needed an ESD mat for small ham radio projects but didn't want one that covered my entire desk. This one is a perfect size for the job, the quality is first class and the supplier dispatched it within one hour of ordering. You cannot ask for more than that! Thank you very much.

Plenty large enough for the things I make and repair which are micro sized circuit boards.Does not take up to much Bench space when you have lot of other gear on it.

Difficult review, because functionally, I think this mat ticks all the boxes. The problem is the dreadful smell of the rubber, which is as though someone has lit a tyre in my room. It stinks the whole place out and it makes your hands stink when handling it. I've taken to keeping it in a sealed bag and keeping it in a storage room when not in use.I've read online that the dreadful smell is as a result of cheap rubber being used. If you consider the high-end of rubber products e.g. latex gloves for clinical use - they have hardly any smell at all. I'm seriously considering ditching this product and finding one that doesn't smell. I've noticed they cost a lot more, but that's probably the price for quality.
