Very Good Containers. Strong & Easy to Clean.
After reading reviews which left me with unclear / mixed answers prior to my purchasing these containers, I decided to buy them and see for myself what's up. Now that I've viewed and used them, I'll do my best to give the clear answers to clear up any confusion that other potential buyers might also have. Please see my review's photos for reference material. I marked each photo with a letter so you can 'see' what I'm talking about.- QUESTION: Some reviews say the containers leak, others say they don't. Which is the correct answer?- ANSWER: Yes and no. The compartments themselves are solid, but there is a small gap between the compartments' edges and the container lid. If you look at Photo A, you will see that I am pointing at the edges which are too low to meet the lid. Because there is a small gap, if the container is turned on its side, upside-down, or shaken around, liquids will ooze or spill between that low spot into the other compartments. That is the 'leak' people have spoken of. However, with the lid sealed in place there will not be any spilling / leaking OUTSIDE of the container; it will all be kept inside.- QUESTION: Is there a way to prevent leaks?- MY ANSWER: Yes. I used safe, food-grade silicone sealant (purchased separately and cheaply) to draw a little line of the sealant along the edges which are pointed out in Photo A. After the sealant dried, it worked as a complete barrier between the edge and the lid -- so there was no sloshing between the gap.- QUESTION: Do the compartments themselves leak into each other?- MY ANSWER: No. Aside from that small gap mentioned in Question #1 and pointed out in Photo A, there are no gaps between the compartments. Their walls are solid. In Photo B, you can see that I placed 3 different-colored liquids in each compartment, each at different levels so that you can clearly see they're blocked. There is no mixing or leaching of liquids between the compartment walls themselves.- QUESTION: Do the lids have trouble fitting on the containers?- MY ANSWER: Yes and no. First you'll need to make sure the seal is pressed all the way into its groove, just like -any- sealing lid. Then there's a specific trick for getting the lids on properly: the flaps need to be lifted outward, almost even to the rest of the lid. You can see this in Photo C. After the flaps are straight, set the lid on the container and then press the opposite flaps upward at the same time until they snap into place. If the flaps aren't even to the lid when you try to push them downward, you'll have a hard time and struggle to clasp it on; they won't go, or the lid will start sliding ajar. Once the lid is secured, however, it is on firmly and will not slip or allow leaks past.- QUESTION: Do the lids' seals fall out?- MY ANSWER: Except for issues where the seal is legitimately broken (cracked / snapped in half), the seal is supposed to be removable. You can see this in Photo D. This removal enables you to clean out the lid's groove, and to clean / sanitize the seal (else if food gets beneath and it's never washed, bacteria and / or mold will grow; this is fact for any product with a seal like this). Once the seal is dry, you can press it back into the groove with your fingertips. Make sure it's firmly and all the way in the groove, else it'll cause you some difficulty with snapping the lid on -- which, again, is true for every product with a lid like this.

Meal prep must have
Great product! I use mine daily. Pros: attractive, generous size, airtight lid, see-through, dishwasher-safe, glass does not retain stains or odors. Cons: can’t be nested to save space; dividers between sections are shorter than outer sides of container, so foods may mix if container is tilted or shaken. If you are trying to eliminate plastics from your household, be aware that the lid is plastic.

Very nice, but......
The containers themselves are very nice. Sturdy. Lids fit well, except the round ones are a little iffy - trying to put straight snaps on a rounded edge. Here is what I do not like about them:1. They nest, they sure do. However, they nest so tightly that you can't even get a finger in between them, so every time you need a container, you would have to pull out the pile of that shape and dig down one at a time to get to the one you want. Better engineering would have been to leave a bit of space, in my opinion. See picture on how we decided to store them so it isn't such a pain. And they don't move around like this. Not what I intended originally, but will suffice.2. These are kind of small. We could never get rid of our bigger plastic. Will we replace the bigger plastic - not sure. I made 3 hamburger patties yesterday with the Cuisinart burger maker and had to pull a bigger plastic container. Not only are none wide/long enough for even 2 burgers, but none were tall enough to accommodate even 2 of our burgers (we did make them on the thicker side). That to me is disappointing.I'm sure there are costs associated with size but I for one would have been willing to pay more for the biggest one to be bigger and then stagger down with space left in between to be able to get them apart easily when nested. Hopefully, these last so it's not like a yearly expense.3. I think the communication is confusing. And no communication came with the product. In a video posted by the company, it shows the containers going in the freezer, but wording says you can't. Dishwashing instructions are lacking/confusing and even in querying this in QA and reviews, you get mixed messages. So, I don't know if the lids can go in the top rack of the dishwasher. Things should be far more clear! Some people recommend looking on the product for what it says. Our products have absolutely no guidance. At a minimum, they should include one sheet of clear instructions in each package. We are going to go with the thought that the lids can only go in the fridge. Period. Which also is disappointing. These will work for us on some occasions. They certainly don't solve all our food storage needs. Probably not even half. We will keep them and use them for what we can. Trying to get away from so much plastic.UPDATE - I’ve been using these for a while and they are very nice. Very sturdy. The glass is hefty and I bought these due to borosilicate glass. The suggestions above I do wish they’d take into account, however, the product itself is very nice. Also - the smaller containers have lid instructions engraved! Hadn’t even noticed!Second UPDATE - wanted to let some time pass to see if storing them with lids ON would eventually be an issue because of weight. It has not been an issue! In fact, it’s very handy to store them this way! No digging for kids that if stored separately would have been a jumbled mess! They remain very nice containers which we would get again.

Love these!
Super handy, quest quality. Nice thickness! I love the clear glass with the clear lid so you can easily see what’s inside when your fridge is jam packed:) lids click on very secure! Totally leak proof! The portion size is perfect for lunch! Salads! I’ve been using Pyrex glass storage for years and I decided to buy these when all my replacement lids for my Pyrex kept cracking. These are a purchase I have no regrets about! Thoroughly enjoying using them and would recommend.

Good product - difficult to close lids
I bought the rectangular five pack of these. Nice, solid glass and perfect size for lunch, I have used these for the past four and a half years for my lunches (I work in an office). I have also used these while camping, hiking and fishing. They are also good for baking. The only challenge I have is the top is very difficult to close and the more I use these the more difficult it has become to snap down all four sides. My wife was never able to close down all four sides, even when they were brand-new and now I’ve reached a point where I just can’t get them closed without a huge amount of effort so I purchased a stainless steel container and some plastic container the same size to replace them. I’ll still keep these for baking though.

Very nice
Perfect condition. Tops fit securely on glass bottoms. They do well in a toaster oven for re-heating. Very nice.
