The ABRSM Songbook, Book 1: Selected Pieces and Traditional Songs in Five Volumes

Bought this for my daughter who has just started singing and what a great book , recommended by her tutor it comes with 2 x cds and a great choice of songs. Anybody who is learning to sing wont be dissapointed,great.

Lovely book, suitable for anyone interested in singing and learning to sight-sing. I am a violin teacher and I use it for aural training and overall musical awareness to prepare my students for exams. They love it - it's always the treat and highlight of the lesson.

This song collection is intended for young singers taking ABRSM examinations but it is also an excellent resource for the Key Stage 2 classroom. If you are looking for good-quality art songs for classroom or concert use there is plenty to choose from. Clear presentation, attractive accompaniments and sensible voice ranges are also a bonus. The accompanying CD of piano accompaniments means that the class can practise without the music specialist on hand.There are four more books of increasing difficulty in the series.

Was requested to purchase this book for my daughter's music class. I was unsure whether this was the correct product as told to get it with CD. This did not have any mention of the CD in the description or customer feedback, but I took a chance and glad I did because it actually comes with two CD`s and at a much lesser price than other sellers.

Great for son to practise along after hearing the songs as they should be played on the CD

Collection of songs including the pieces required for grade 1 singing. I was surprised at how complex the songs are for grade 1 - I think I was expecting songs along the lines of Hickory Dickory Dock but the songs in this book are much more advanced & would require confident sight reading or listening to CDs to learn.

The book is useful but the quality was not that good.

I am really happy with the book. So many songs to sing to.
