Pleasantly surprised! Well packaged. All items were protected with plastic covering for seat cushion, individual boxes for the legs, washers bolts and wrench in separate bag, pictured assembly instructions, company nameplate. Solidly built, excellent smooth wood finish (matte black), smooth-lubricated gear mechanism, easy to assemble. I particularly liked the separate and removable velvet seat cushion which could easily be reupholstered if it should become worn-out over time. Comfortably large seating area and ample height adjustment range to 22 ½ inches in height. Everything I needed and more than I expected for this price.

An Amazing Price For This Kind of Quality
This was so much more than I expected! I needed to replace the bench in a club where I work after various pianists broke two others over the course of a year. They even broke one like this one, but it was not nearly as well-built as this one. The finish is fantastic and the hardware will eb quite durable. I don't expect to have to replace this bench. This is an amazing price for this kind of quality.

no complaints. 4 stars because i am reviewing it <1 week after purchase so we dont know longevity.note it is light weight (good for a kid to move, but not heavyweight sturdy like a regular bench)goes up very tall (under a yamaha baby grand piano it will fit a 3 year old)and despite the exposed metal hardware, nice to look at.the padding on the gloss piano black finish i purchased is velvet like and comfortable.the padded piece comes out of the frame; it is not secured but sits in a recessed spot.

The piano bench arrived damaged. The paint on all four legs was scratched, the frame loos and the screws not tightened. I wanted to give this bench only 1 star as it is of really poor quality, but amazon censured that reviewed.Ultimately we had to return the item and got our money back.

Excellent for the price
Very nice bench. Got it put together in about 10 minutes. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but it’s fine for one person. Best part is it’s only $30!
