Liquid Intelligence - The Art and Science of the Perfect Cocktail Hardcover – Illustrated, 31 Oct. 2014

If you know of David Arnold you already know that he is a source for a very wide range of valuable information on all matters food and drink related (the back catalogue of the 'Cooking Issues' podcast is a gold mine of culinary knowledge). In this book he explains and lays out simply how to go about creating fab drinks. Okay... Some of it needs some hardcore equipment but an awful lot can be done with not much kit. And the methods he describes work and with great tasting results (try the milk washing to remove tannins). I'm no barman, but a cook in search of expanding my knowledge and always seeking to understand and control flavour and this book offers a lot that can be used with food as well as drink. So to sum up- a really worthwhile book for chef or barman which could certainly extend your techniques and knowledge and all washed down with wit, inteligence, and some great recipes and tips. Thank you Mr. Arnold

Just as you expect Bought as a gift and well received

I talky like this book. It isn't just straight up recipes. There really indents investigation of things. From the use of refractometers to all sorts of scientific explanations. Not fif someone looking for quick to ise flash cards but definitely helpful for someone who wants to understand more.

Very interesting book, however I’d recommend it only to experienced bartenders that are trying to get into some advanced techniques.Very interesting the ice chapter but I found many pages quite unhelpful for myself personally, since lots of the techniques required expensive machinery or hard to get products.One thing is certain, I’m gonna be buying an isi whipper now that I’m done with this book!Many tips and tricks that lots of people may find super useful.Worth reading.One think I disliked is the fact that the hardcover has that loose paper wrap on it, which got damaged instantly and it was pretty annoying while holding the book.

Lots of useful and interesting information for anyone who's into bartending or just mixing drinks. Lots of good recepies too

OMG this guy is a genius, there’s things in this book I’d have never thought about and I’m a smart cookie myself.If you want to learn how to make wow ingredients and cocktails this book is a must read.Highly recommended for anyone who’s a true drinks enthusiast

Absolutely sioetb book very scientific very solid great book to improve byiur knowledge however only really useful if you have either unlimited funds or are in the industry! So your call but I love it!
