iPhone X comes with a bad sound chip in the lightning to mini-jack cable. Resulting in bluetooth played music being better than cable. Paradox as you loose substantial sound quality over bluetooth. I bought the dB MAGIX AC3 to fix this and it did. Very happy about the sound quality. Best I have ever had with a phone now. Note: Download the B MAGIX App gives you more volume to play with. Build quality is poor. I’ve had it for just one year and it’s started doing strange things like sudden drastic volume increases that frankly are a health hazard to one’s hearing. Really disappointed considering how expensive it was.

Wow stunned at the difference this has made to my music. I’m 47 and into house, techno , old school hip hop and the odd bit of guitar so love the additional warmth and bass it brings to my music. I’ve matched it up with some new Klipsch R6 i II In ear head phones. Great combination for Techno on the commute. Looking forward to taking these on holiday.

Broke within a couple of months of owning. Very weak joins on the cable between the main body. I could tell as soon as I opened it that this was going to be a failure point. As the phone sits in your pocket the DAC part tends to dangle half out bouncing up and down and wearing on the joins. Very badly designed in this regard.Giving two stars as the sound is pretty good - definitely better than Apple stock. I've now moved to a FiiO i1 now which sounds pretty much exactly the same, maybe a little better on a pair of Shure SE535s.

Really pleased with the performance of this item. It syncs perfectly with my iPhone X. Would recommend you download the Soundwize DB Magix software from the App store though as you really notice the sound difference in terms of bass level and tonal range. Works perfectly with my Bowers & Wilkins headphones also. The device also looks great into the bargain.

great at first but in the end it killed my iphone . had to get iphone replaced under warranty and glad it was under warranty !

What a difference this makes. I was definitely sceptical but using both headphones or an external amp the music has more presence and life than normal compressed music files.
