Pros:Very good sound quality, upper end is very crisp and at maximum volume is impressively loud with very minimal distortionVery good build quality, feels extremely durable and being waterproof and dust proof is great for me as I take it to work with meBattery life is noticeably good, I've used it for a couple of hours here and there thought the day and gone to check the battery level and been surprised by how much charge was leftVery good value for moneyCons:The tap and double tap to play and pause is a little hit and miss, sometimes you'll want to skip and it will pause or won't recognise the taps at all, so can sometimes be a bit annoyingIf the battery fully runs out it has to charge for about 15 minutes or so before it will let you use the device at all which can be annoying, but can be easily avoided by keeping an eye on the battery levelWith my device the charging can be very awkward, you have to adjust the wires sometimes which you wouldn't expect from a new product, not sure if this is a common problem or notThe bass is very slightly lacking, but this is more than made up for with the crispness and clarity of the higher end notesVerdict:Overall I'm very impressed with this speaker and would recommend this product, the value for money is great and the fact its waterproof and dustproof leads me to believe this product should last

I bought this product feeling slightly hesitant after reading reviews about it. However upon it's arrival I realised I'd made the right choice. The sound quality for a Bluetooth speaker of its spec/size/price is second to none. It is so crystal clear and with the perfect balance of treble/bass/high tones. Many people were disappointed with the bass - but unless you're wanting to host some warehouse rave (which, why would you with a Bluetooth speaker) then you aren't missing out. I've hosted many many house parties as this point with it and my speaker has always been the go to; it's worth mentioning that two of my flatmates both own the Bose Soundlink mini II, and even they prefer my speaker. Not just because of the better/clearer sound quality, but because of the ease of connecting to it via Bluetooth, and also the volume that it can go up to is ridiculous. I have never needed to turn it up to full.All in all this is an amazing product that I have had no problems with, I often take it in the shower with me because it is splash proof and can be submerged. It is a very hardy speaker and you feel very safe with it. Also has a great looking design and is super portable.

Exactly what you'd expect from UE - sturdy, loud, good quality in terms of build and sound.Awesome feature is charging while playing, although it can be a bit tricky because of the charging point.Sound quality is crisp with no noise whatsoever. At least if you don't overload the speaker and play it at absolute max volume where the speaker's membrane can't handle it - don't ruin your speakers!Bass is very present and loud, sometimes a notch too loud (surprisingly)Bluetooth connectivity is sometimes too good it connects to my friend's phones before mine! Not an issue though, super easy to connect and no loss of connection.Overall, a well worth the money speaker for all occasions and uses!

Firstly shipping was a day late but was received early on the day so I wasn't too bothered. The device was well packaged and came with everything needed to get started. The speaker is very minimal with a high build quality and it is very easy to connect and pair and play music. One thing I liked in particular was the app, it is very useful and allows you to rename the speaker change audio profiles and connect to multiple speakers. The build quality is very nice the speaker is covered by a tight woven mesh fabric and the rest is a simple matte finish rubber/plastic. Buttons are responsive however the gesture control is temperamental to say the least. The battery lasts for ages, sound quality is more than adequate and more importantly does not distort notably at high volumes. One thing I found was despite the speaker being water resistant it does take a while to dry out and leaves the fabric looking slightly worn.To conclude, I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone who wants an all round good speaker.

I've had Minirigs for years, since they came out. Been through about 4 of them, while at the time I thought they were the best thing ever lately I have been dissapointed with their toughness. A drop from about 1 meter onto tarmac left 2 of the plastic cone mounting points shattered. Plus not waterproof, and the short round shape which does look nice is actually highly inconvenient for carrying. Searched around a bit until I decided to give UE a try, the Boom2 seemed to be roughly equivalent to a minirig.Firstly the build quality is very high. The thing is properly tough, and waterproof. I have dropped it, splashed it, had it bounce around an all terrain forklift cab for over a week with absolutely no problems at all.It's also very loud. Louder than the Minirig, and definitely a better sound reproduction.The shape and feel of it are very good, it's drinks can shape fits in pockets nicely, The synthetic fabric and hard rubber surfaces are resilient and easy to clean. The bluetooth connectivity is idiot proof and works flawlessly.The only thing Minirig has over this is battery life, I'd say you get a few more hours out of a Minirig on a full charge, but to be honest about 8 hours of full volume playing is plenty.
