Leica DISTO D1 – Simple Laser Distance Meter with Bluetooth for apps

A serious tool for professional people who need something reliable and accurate. Leica are the leading make in this market and it's easy to see why. Over the years their laser tapes have got smaller and this is no exception. Pocket size, easy to carry and use. Worth getting this model (or better) as it calculates floor areas from your 2 measurements. Convenient. Highly recommended.

Easy to use, robust and accurate.

The laser measurer is accurate but do bear in minds its range is limited compared to some. It doesn’t add or subtract which given it’s short measuring range can be a problem

I got this to replace a laser measure I got from Aldi a few years ago, using some vouchers I had. It operates well and is fast and accurate, the laser is bright even in daylight. You can pair it with a leica app on your phone, but this seems little more than a gimmick. Feels very light, and a little bit cheap - the top half of the unit could do with some bumpers. No case, which is pretty poor for the money being asked. I paid £72, the Aldi one was £40 came with a case and felt more solid. It DID stop working, but after more than 3 years of being used at home and on site. If I didn't have gift cards I wouldn't have paid this much for a laser measure, and there is no way the MRP of over £100 could be justified when others are available.

Worked fine for a month but has stopped working now completely and isn't worth the money.

Laser measurer was a good deal. It's good for the price. I had a much better one that lasted a long time but I eventually dropped it one too many times. I would like to upgrade soon.

It's from the Leica Disto family so, obviously it works well. If I had to buy it again, I'd get the next model up as this one has slightly limited functionality.

Leica is awesome product. It measured between 0.5 feet to 70 feet in day time & 0.5 feet to 100 feet in night. You can connect via bluetooth to your mobile.
