Would this work to soundproof my bedroom 7'x9' wall that is connected to my neighbor's bedroom wall? If so, how do you install/hang it up?

It should help soundproof the connecting walls to your neighbors. You should put it BEHIND the drywall unless you like the look of black rubber walls. I put this in a very loud equipment room of a dental office. The public will not see it but I wish my contractor would have put it behind the drywall for a more esthetic outcome. We used stables to the studs to hold it up.

Does this product have a perm rating available? Does it act at all as a vapor barrier?

This product is to add mass for sound. It’s not made for water vapor there must be more affordable and better options for water vapor.

Can this easily be nailed into/screwed into through drywall?

Yes. I used 1” roofing nails into the studs. The wide head provides a better grip and doesn’t stick out or distort the vinyl like a drywall screw might.

Product descriptions say both "odorless" and "virtually odorless". So how noticeable will the odor be if used in a closed environment like a car?

probably just smell like a regular car
