Now Pets L-Lysine for Cats Powder, 8 oz, Pack of 2

There are up and down reviews about giving lysine to cats and dogs, but after my experience with how it works, I give it to my cats every day with their canned food. Two of my indoor cats came down with upper respiratory infections last winter probably due to having allergies or even the feline herpes virus that turned into an infection. They were MISERABLE and I had to take them to the vet to get antibiotics, but I also read that lysine will help too so I decided to get some and try it. Within a could days they were feeling better with less sneezing. Thanks in part probably to the antibiotics, but the lysine sped up their recovery. Well just two weeks ago one of those cats started showing signs of an upper respiratory "something" with terrible sneezing. He was down in the dumps over it too so I immediately started giving him lysine every day. I avoided having to take him to the vet and he was feeling better within about three days. Lysine may not work for every pet and I am certainly not advocating not having your vet check your pet out to make sure they don't have an infection, but to stop the flare-ups of allergies, feline herpes, etc, this is a good product to consider. I am very happy with the results and I like seeing happy, well kitties.

One of our 11 month old kittens has been struggling with sneezing fits & crusty eyes since we adopted him around 2 months of age. Although he had been treated with an antibiotic twice fir his symptoms, we were advised that he would just have to outgrow it as his immune system became stronger. Good thing his mama is a pharmacist and his aunt is a vet...started him on this flavorless (yay!) powder and have seen tremendous improvements in under 2 months. Now, that being said, Eli still sneezes now and then, but definitely not his “sneeze attacks” like he did have. His eyes are much less crusty (90% improvement).Since Eli has a voracious teenage appetite & finishes off everyone else’s bowls (we’ve rescued 7 cats), I sprinkle a very small amount (sub therapeutic dose) into each bowl. That being said, one of our newer additions to our family was struggling with goopy eyes (no sneezing) so this was an added benefit for Coco—her eyes, I’m happy to report, completely cleared up.My favorite part about this product is that it doesn’t have a flavor (so many products out there are fish flavored...most of my felines balk at seafood anything).

My rescue cat has feline herpes, similar to a never-ending bad cold for people. I can definitely tell this helps reduce his symptoms, especially sneezing. I also give it to my other cats to help their immunities for catching it from the rescue cat- its been a year and none of them have gotten it.

I can tell when I have not given my cats the l-lysine because their eyes start to water. This is a great product that helps my cats.

My kitties had runny noses and eyes and were sneezing quite a bit. I sprinkled this on canned food once to twice a day and they are all better now. Great stuff!

My daughter-in-law has a cat with many medical issues. After allergy shoots and medications from a previous vet, this is what her new vet recommended. I have a 2 1/2 year old Russian Blue who breaths heavily. So I purchased this. Easy to use, and seems to be making a difference.

I have two cats with feline herpes, which causes frequent upper respiratory issues which results in sneezing and snotting around the house. This isn’t a cure-all but really seems to help keep them better managed and the flare ups to a minimum.

This L Lysine is helpful to my cats and does make a difference I mix it with entire bag of cat food so they are forced to get it lol sometimes I mix it in their water lots of ways to give L-lysine
