Radioddity GD-AT10G DMR Handheld Ham Radio 10W Digital Analog Long Range (UHF Only) with GPS APRS, 3100mAh Rechargeable Battery, Work with Hotspot

Great radio for UHF. It's an Anytone 878 without all the extras. Perfect for hotspots and local repeaters on UHF. Power output was about 11 watts on ham band.

First off, can't say enough great words about Radioditty Customer Service! This is a very nice radio, with a good form factor. Although could be about 1/4 inch wider or PTT button slightly larger for my hand; the PTT is slightly uncomfortable to push with my right hand, my preferred method. Putting that aside, the radio seems well designed and sturdily constructed and has very good battery life having gotten 12 hrs on constant receive. The color display is easy to see and the top mounted knobs are convenient and function well. Having had several DMR amateur handhelds dating back to 2017-2019 is nice to have a current design unit at this price. It is DMR/Analog both functioning well into local repeaters, it is UHF only, but where I am located DMR VHF Repeaters are rare, so this fulfills my needs quite well. The DMR Software for the unit (Download from their website required) needs some brushing up and works differently from others I have for older radios. Radioditty customer service was able to walk me through via emails and did a fantastic job, can't say enough about their help ! However, the software did connect very easily and downloads from and uploads to radio very quickly. I use this radio every day and again their customer service is great!

This radio has a very steep learning curve. As a senior IT system administrator I cannot make heads or tails of how to configure this radio to do anything beyond analog. The code plug programming software has an overwhelming amount of things that must be tied together for everything to work well.I am only relating my experience, but I haven't had a ton of time to sit down and focus on programming this radio because of a few things: 2 small children, a demanding job, and limited availability of DMR repeaters in the area to test against if they are even still operational at all, which I cannot confirm as the repeater owners in the online directory for our area do not respond to contact, if you can even find contact info for them.The radio build quality is top notch. The screen is clear and the battery life in leaving it idle was good. I really just wish I could figure out how to use DMR

I ordered two of these. One came in DOA and the other would not program using the same software I already had for the same radio. Come to find out this a Anytone UV878 and updating firmware has to be from Anytone setting rather than the slim to none provided by Radioddity. I contacted Radioddity by email and although the response was quick it was completely useless. You are on your own when you buy one of the radios. You need to purchase these radios from Anytone and down load the CPS and Firmware update from anytone. I will never purchase or recommend purchasing anything from Radioddity again. Really poor experience all the way around. Lost a few hours of my life that I will never get back.

If you don’t need the Bluetooth or 2meters this radio is great for the money. I find it to be very close to a 878. I use this radio just for hotspots so it works great for that. Battery life is also fantastic. Audio quality from the internal speaker it top quality. I have had no problems using this radio. Code plug is pretty intuitive and easy to use. I would recommend this radio if it suits your particular needs.

It was easy to use and set up a code plug. The sound quality was excellent. The analog function worked great as well

Good for the money and dose as expected

Radioodity support has been wonderful particularly the assistance i have received from Irene. She has been assisting me over the last 6 months with several different radios and their programming procedures. Her attention to detail and experience has been wonderful.
