Waste Cooking Oil Solidifier

My son used this powder while in culinary school and suggested I order some for when I deep fried foods like fish. It really works and is easy to use! You sprinkle a bit into your pan with the oil, heat up the pan and stir until it dissolves, turn off the heat and let it sit. The powder solidifies into a whitish color and you can use a spatula to scrape out the hardened oil into the trash. No more runny oil at the bottom of the trash can! Even using this in the summer, it stayed solid and didn’t melt in the heat.

This is the third time I’ve purchased this product, and since discovering it, I can’t live without it! I never knew what to do with used oil, and even when I put it in multiple bags to throw away with the regular trash, it would sometimes leak and make a huge mess. This product completely changed that and makes disposing of oil so much easier. I highly recommend it.

This works as advertised. However, the bottle is small and you need a lot of the product to solidify.

I avoided frying food because dealing with the oil was such a hassle. This works exactly as described and leaves you with a soft solid to simply scrape into the trash or compost. Just stir it in when you're done cooking and let is cool. Done!

I used to dread cleaning up after frying because I never knew what to do with the leftover oil, until I found this natural oil solidifier. It makes cleanup so much easier and way less gross. It’s perfect for home use and way more environmentally friendly than pouring oil down the drain (which you're not supposed to do anyway!). One container lasts a while if you don’t deep fry too often. Definitely a kitchen staple for me now. I have now purchased this item twice.

This product had all the potential but didn't come close to delivering! I wasn't able to return it, so I'm making the most of it. I didn't want to keep wasting paper towels and dabbing up the grease, which is what I have done in the past. I ended up using more paper towels cleaning up the awful mess and residue this garbage left behind. It comes with a little scoop, but that amount of granules in one scoop was worthless. I had to dump quite a bit in the pan to absorb grease from a half dozen pieces of bacon. The tiny bit of granules that the spoon holds wasn't enough to do anything but swim around in the pam. When the granules hardened, ideally it would come out in a big piece or two to toss in the garbage. It did break apart into pieces but it left an incredible mess in my pan. Think melting a candle and having the tiny wax pieces ALL over the pan and smeared up the sides. I didn't want to scrape the pan too hard and scratch it, but a light rub did absolutely nothing to remove the wax particles. I used a ton of paper towels and am still left with the slippery, waxy residue on the pan. What a lot of work and so wasteful. It's not even worth using the rest of the container and risk scratching my pan. It's going in the garbage. Not worth this purchase!

This stuff is fantastic. I no longer need a yucky tin can in my freezer to store up cooking grease for disposal, and I'm not pouring oils down the sink drain. After cooking, one just scoops some of this stuff into the warm pan and allows it to dissolve in the oil. After it cools, it solidifies and you can just toss it in the trash. There is no odor.

Just a spoonful and it solidyfied the oils in my frypan, which made it easy to throw away when it cooled. So much better for the environment than putting it down the sink.

Cooking Chinese sometimes requires oil. The oil is poured in a pot after using it and waits for me to find a container to put it in and hoping not to make a mess. This product turns it into a jelly like consistency and is easy to remove from the pot and then into a compost bag. Love the simplicity. It works perfect. Now I don’t have to dread getting rid of the oil.
