So far it has been up and down, installed apps from Google play and apks. Installed apps do seem to crash or lock up but not too often. After using a lan cable instead of WiFi the streaming does seem better.

I was on the look out for one of these boxes for use in my daughters room - a cheap, sleek solution to be mounted behind a 22 inch LCD TV to provide an entertainment hub.When this little beauty arrived, I was pretty sure I had made the right choice.In terms of sockets and ports, we have the following:2x USB - ideal for a keyboard/mouse on a hub and a flash drive on the other.HDMIPowerspdif for soundbarsLANMicro SD CARDAbsolutely fine so far - its all the connectivity I need.The size of the device is also a pleasant surprise - wer are looking at a box measuring 11 cm x 11 cm x 1.5(!)cm and weighing very little.Its a sleek, well finished box with a matt finish on the top, along with a tastefully printed emblem.Upon powering up the device I was pleased to see that the only light was a dim blue LED, hidden beneath the surface on the leading edge - nothing distracting or flashing to put you off!After about 5 minutes setting up (literally) a gloriously bright, well laid out screen appeared.The remote is line-of-sight, so if you are hiding the box behind a TV, bear that in mind.For the simple operation of negotiating the menus to play a video file on attached storage, the remote is perfectly adequate.If you want to get more out of this box by installing more apps that change its use into more of a small pc, then you will need a mouse and keyboard.Performance wise this box is brilliantly capable - I threw a few video files of varying quality at it and it reproduced them on a large TV (42 inch) with no difficulty whatsoever.These were .mp4 files incidentally.I have noticed in the past that Android TV boxes come loaded with Kodi and other means of bypassing copyright.This box is thankfully free of that and is ready to go, much the same as an Android tablet is, with "normal" software - you wont run into any legal issues with this little box!Music reproduction was free of breakup and distortion and my bluetooth headphones were happily connected in no time.For simple video file playback this box is faultless - the images are crisp and clear and the sound is wonderful.If you want to use it for more in-depth things like a word processor then feel free - the X1 pro will NOT disappoint!

Bought this to upgrade from a fire tv stick and kodi to something with 4K capabilities. Easy to set up and install apps. Plug ins run 4K no problem and with impressive results. A lot smoother and faster operation than the fire stick. Add a controller and download the retro apps from the play store and you have an all system playing games console included in the price. Would strongly recommend.
