You must buy any product in your own country otherwise the warranty will be void (useless) because in your case Wahl Australia probably would refuse to help you if the item became faulty. Therefore, for any electrical products that you are buying unless it has a global worldwide warranty the item will be a waste of money and become a piece of junk if it became faulty. You should be able to buy the same product for about the same price locally and be fully covered by the warranty if it went wrong within the warranty period.
