Short, snappy, sweet, plus charming illustrations
Bear Snores On is probably the best of the bunch. The other three books are also quite charming -- Bear's New Friend is probably the weakest of the remaining three in terms of the plot line and rhymes. Overall our household has enjoyed the Bear series very much -- the illustrations are sweet, the story lines are simple enough for toddlers to understand but sufficiently interesting that it won't bore the adults, the rhyme scheme is tolerable, the book aren't too long, and (for those parents who want a "lesson" in every book), yes, there is some sort of moral component or lesson in every book -- how to help your friends in need, how to be brave, etc. We enjoyed this series so much that we also purchased the Christmas-themed Bear book, Bear Stays Up.

My favorite board books, even after dozens of readings!
I ADORE the bear books! They are fun to read, even for the 20th, 40th, 60th time because the rhyme is sweet and simple, and rolls off the tongue much easier than Dr. Seuss (am I the only parent who dreads reading Dr. Seuss? There, I said it.). Sweet messages in each of these and really beautiful artwork. We count butterflies and look at the daylilies and bees and grasses and fish on each page. Beautifully done. Love these and would definitely buy more, buy as gifts, and recommend.

Fun stories that kids will love
Our son loves these books, the graphics are great, and the concept is great, however a couple of them need to have the text of storyline updated to match the quality of the better ones. (Bear Snores On has a great storyline and rhyming, while Bear's New Friend and Bear Feels Scared just miss the mark).

Great writer and great artist!
Love the way this author rhymes! We got "The Bear Snores On" in a cereal box a long time ago... It quickly fell apart from reading it several times a day since it was a very cheap paper back version! Now with my youngest son I decided to order this set for Christmas! I'm just as pleased with the other books as I was the first. :-) my son is gonna love these!!

Board books will help our bear reading last
We, my six-month old grandson and I, love to read about Bear. Our problem was out books were not board books so he could not hold them. Now they are in his hands and he is happy. They go home and come back. Bear is fun and will continue to be fun for quite a while I am sure now that we have board books.

A Simple Delight
My kids grew up with all of the bear books but back then I had the whole collection in regular paper back; now that my cousin had her two year old, I thought it would be perfect for her to have the board books instead. We are all happy and enjoying the great pics. My son learned how to read on these books.

Love them
I bought these with the intention of having the kids unwrap a new book each night to countdown to Christmas. I was going for quantity and reasonable price; what I found were four adorable stories. I like to read these books and my kids love to hear them. We bought an additional "Bear" book once we realized the series is so cute.

"Bear" in mind...
Purchased for my grandson to learn early on that feelings are normal. The cardboard construction makes it difficult for a two year old to tear apart. He is enjoying looking and learning. The books are strong enough and small enough that he can read to himself without tearing out a page. Great books.

Favourite book
Wanting more goodies to eat appeals to all toddlers. The idea of a big scary bear wanting more and having all his little friends help him find food delights my three-year-old grandson. The illustrations are wonderful. Together, we love looking for the little mouse, who is frequently on Bear somewhere. If you look carefully, kids can find shades of their own lives, like when Bear gets lost in "Bear Feels Scared", his friends go to find him, and they are all tied to one string line like in a prekindergarten line. Although my grandson loves this entire Bear Series by Karma Wilson, and we have them all, his favorite is "Bear Wants More." We can't wait for the next book to be released. As a grandmother, they are also my favorite books to read.

Great!
Four fantastic bedtime stories that are just the right length to hold my son's attention during storytime before bed. Fun for baby as well as Mom and Dad.

Bear’s New Friend""Bear Feels Sick""Bear Feels Scared""Bear Snores On"
