Great for learning
Great set for 9x9 and 13x13 which has helped me introduce Go to my kids. Nice size stones with shape better than expected. It's going to last and a size good enough to play very comfortably on whilst small enough to store easily.

It's a beginner's go board. It is made well out of real wood (I have no idea whether it's actually shin kaya, but it looks nice and appears it won't warp). Everything about the boards is the right size, unlike the smaller boards in the lower-price tier. The stones are light, slippery plastic. Disappointing. But your money is paying for that board. If you are a go learner or looking to get back into it (like me), this is what to get. While it is cheap for a go set, it's obviously very expensive for a board game. That's go. That's the way it is. The West received this game from Japan and with it the (expensive) Japanese aesthetic. There is a similar board on here, bamboo I think, for $30. Don't get that one. Get this one. It is nice and nice to play on. Even if you only play a handful of times before putting it away in a dusty drawer, you'll only be spending a couple bucks extra on each game. If you play a lot, it will simply be worth every penny.

Calidad precio a mi parecer insuperable.

This set was reasonably priced for a solid wood go board. The color and grain look very nice. I think it's just softwood, a type of spruce. After a year in an alternating humid/dry environment there's a tiny bit of warping or wobble if you press on the corner but I'd still take a solid wood board over a veneer any day - my veneer chessboard seems to scratch easily and I don't think you can just sand the marks out. The melamine stones are ok. My least favorite thing about the set is the cheap plastic bowls. Go seems like a pleasant game with good flow and none of the awkwardness of chess.

The board is ok, and pieces are fine but the bowls are old and have been used before it looks. Very scratched and lots of different marks on them. Not sure why you wouldn’t include new bowls as it’s just cheap plastic anyway. Makes for a disappointing buy
