Hotter than Sam Elliot ♥️🥮🏈💙
In toys book are some of my favorite tropes. Best friend’s sister and one I don’t want to give away because it was a nice surprise not mentioned in the blurb.Branch is tough to take at times because he’s a player in every way. There’s details if that isn’t your thing. Then there’s Layla, she’s feisty and strong. I liked her but there were moments I wanted her to stay mad. It’s a good book about taking a good look at yourself and what is truly important. About making life choices and life changes. It was a good book. I love her writing!

Get Lucky!!!
There is a reason Adriana Locke is a go to author for me. It's books like Lucky Number Eleven. I was drawn into the book from the first page and couldn't put it down until I finished, which was around 4:00 a.m.! Branch is your typical pro football player...... he's a player in every sense of the word. He has no desire to be tied down during his career, he's seen what that looks like with his teammates. Enter Layla James, baby sister to his team mate/best friend Finn. Layla is a blogger. She is sassy, funny and gives as good as she gets from Branch. She is also aware of what relationships are like in the pro sports world, as her ex boyfriend is on a vacation that she planned, with someone else. She decided a weekend away, at her family's cabin with her bestie Poppy, is in order. Finn too also decided a weekend away at the cabin was a good idea, before the preseason started, and he brought Branch with him. Layla and Branch's attraction was instant and I so enjoyed the ride of watching their relationship unfold. They are just perfect for each other and have an amazing chemistry together. There were times when I was literally laughing out loud and other times my heart was breaking from them and I was crying. Adriana has an amazing way with words. Can I just say that I would love if there is book sometime down the road for Finn, Layla's brother, and Poppy, her bestie. They were the best secondary characters ever! Poppy was at times absolutely hysterical but she always had Layla's back. Finn is the brother I always wished I had. Always protective of Layla and there for her when she needed him the most. Finn and Poppy have this "relationship" kinda thing going on. I would love to see how that all started and how it turns out.To say I recommend this book is an understatement. It really is a one-click must!!!**** I loved all of the Landry series references, especially the grapes ;)

Best Friends Sister is Off Limits!
That seems to be the bro code in sports and just friendship. Often that’s because a guy’s best friend knows too much about him to want him anywhere near his sister!Layla James Miller is Finn Miller’s little sister and Branch “Lucky” Best is his pro football teammate and best friend. Until he isn’t!A cute romcom with some hilarious banter, hot footballers, strong women, and some serious steam! What’s not to love?

Ok, I guess
This book was OK, just not for me. I thought the characters vacillated between immature and annoying. For that reason, I couldn’t really get invested in the story.

Eleven is Also My Lucky Number!
Since it's September, I thought it would befitting to take some time to catch up on my favorite sport in the form of this cute Rom-Com.Lucky Number Eleven, was a bit different than many sport romance books I've read. What I mean by that is, it isn't overly saturated with the odds and ends of the sport where you can still enjoy it even if you have no idea the rules of the game. Instead, you get glimpses of the occupation with a more personal story. Here is my review and why I think you should read this book. The TOP ELEVEN THINGS I LIKED ABOUT "LUCKY" NUMBER ELEVEN:11. Branch "Lucky" Best is hilarious, but with his humor comes a laid back guy with heart. Not only heart for the sport, but we find out just how BIG his heart can be.10. Layla James, the female protagonist is cute without being a pushover. I love to read about strong women. Thumbs up for Layla James!9. Chemistry leads to explosions- Ok, so I sucked in high school science because of my inability to mix chemicals. However, you don't need to mix anything in this book because the chemistry between Layla and Branch comes across at first sight; however, Locke does an exceptional job not instantly throwing the couple together, but creating 'moments' and allowing us (the reader) to experience them along the way. #swoon8. BFF'S are the best and every good book has to have an ultimate bestie and Layla's best gal pal Poppy is totes. I love her. I love her spunk, her attitude about life, and her loyalty. She wins best supporting character award. I'd like to see more of Pop in the near future #HINTHINT7. Bromances count too. Branch Best and Finn Miller have each others back. I love stories that involve male character relationships and how they are defined. In life, they are very different than a f/f relationship, so seeing how they deal with certain situations is something to remember. Locke gave us some good insights on the longevity of a 'disagreement' involving men and if/how it can be repaired.6. FOOTBALL. I mean what other sport romance involves physical contact and mention of abs? None. This earns a star all by itself!5. Pacing of this book was good. I don't think it was too fast or slow. Locke was able to give me what I wanted in a perfect time frame. I am not a fan of the sloooooooow burn, so this was just enough that staying awake until 2 am was worth it.4. Small towns rock and because I live in the Midwest near Chicago, it was nice hearing about Linton, IL. I felt the warmth and tender moments Locke wrote about in the story. It made me want to take a drive to Linton to take in the small town vibe and appreciate the town where I live.3. Layla's occupation was a bright spot for me. I can relate to the career choice, and I'm sure many will once they read the book. I took some advice from her about how to make that money!2. Did I mention the steam level? Probably not, because I didn't want to give anything away. I like how Locke wrote the scenes. They were perfect for the developing relationship between the characters and of course hot enough to send me straight to 'tingle town'.1. There is an HEA and the way they get there gave me all the feels.I hope you pick up this book and give it a try. If you need another push in why you should read it, just take a look at the cover. That's all the persuasion you need!

This is ok
Easy read with good dialog.I think I've read too many contemporary romances with professional athletes or "don't touch my sister" plots now.Layla's brother Finn gives his BEST FRIEND a black eye when he finds out Branch slept with her (SPOILER: and got her pregnant). Come on! Layla is an adult and the sex was consensual. But it's ok for Finn to be a man-whore?

Great little stand alone romance story
A great little stand alone story. Branch Best does the dirty on his best friend Finn Miller by booking up with his younger sister Layla.Branch is a total man-whore who has never wanted to settle down, enjoys his time with the groupies that hang around the team. As two single guys they live it up.Layla has recently broken up with her long time boyfriend when she gets confirmation that he has been cheating, and she decides to live the single life and have fun. That is until she meets Branch. There is something between them, a chemistry, and they both feel it. After a great weekend together they decide to go their separate ways but they both end up thinking about the other. What happens next changes both their lives forever. Will they ever end up together? Would Layla ever be able to trust such a player?

5 star must read!
OMG!! I loved this book so much!! I loved it all!! I loved the story of Branch and Layla and how they met, all the twists, and man, I wanted to reach through the book and throat punch Callum so badly! I didn't like him one bit!!!I really enjoyed the storyline, the writing style of Adriana's that I enjoy anyway, but man it was so good!!! I literally couldn't put it down. I had to finish it and see how it ended.Layla did get on my nerves a bit as she couldn't make up her mind, and was going back and forth. It's like a movie in which you want to yell "What in the hell are you doing woman?"Layla and Branch meet as he plays football with her brother! He knows he can't be there for her in the way she deserves, but Layla has a surprise for him! And oh boy, doesn't Finn hate it!! Layla has her bestie Poppy there for support, and I love their friendship! I want to be friends with them!Of course there's some humour in the book in which I loved too! There were some twists and turns, and I loved how protective Branch was with Layla when Callum was involved. But all in all I really LOVED this book!I also really enjoyed that it entertained with her other books in the Gibson Boys Series!!!!!! I was totally surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!I can't wait to read more in this series from the other authors and I want to find Finn and Poppy's book!
