Not worth the money
I have two main issues with this game. First of all the pets are not controllable which seems to make them less interesting and fun to play with. Secondly the vet career requires you to buy a business and is therefore expensive so unless you cheat you can't start a new game straight away as a vet. There just isn't enough interesting content to justify an rrp of £35 for me.

I pre-ordered The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs EP when I first found out about it coming out and I knew I would love it. This Cats and Dogs EP is a definite game changer since it has new cat and dog items as well as coastal inspired items that look very home like and cozy. I really love that this new Cats and Dogs EP comes with a new career/business option-- the vet clinic-- because it is a fun career/business for Sims to have and you get to go to work with your Sims. There is also a new, beautiful world that comes with this EP, Brindleton Bay, that is inspired by Maine. There is a lot to explore there and a functional lighthouse for your Sims to get their romance on in. I definitely would recommend this Sims 4 EP, it's the best one yet for sure.

Had to give away. Didn’t work in our system. My error for not reading description better.

My daughter is a high Sims fan and waited anxiously for cats & dogs to be released. Lives up to expectations, maybe even exceeds them. The graphics are great. Keeps my daughter interested. She loves the animals she can create.

i had an amazon gift card and i wasn't going to use it on anything else so i bought this instead bc i really wanted to try it out. the expansion is definitely fun at first glance and i enjoy having it in my game. i'm gonna get the bad stuff over with first, it's r e a l l y glitchy with adoption. if you plan on adopting make sure you save your game beforehand bc there's a 50% chance there will be a glitch when you try to adopt. i don't mind not controllng your pets as much as other people, i actually think that adds a bit of realism, but to not be able to access your pet's age, traits or needs gets on my nerves. i just want to be able to see my pets' needs instead of having to go through the 'what's wrong?' interaction 24/7. your pet also randomly ages up and most of the times i'm not with my pet when it happens so that's annoying. but now that the bad stuff is over with i have some good stuff about the pack. the vet career is very fun, it's not that challenging but i enjoy being able to manage it and work as a vet. having pets in your game adds a bit more happiness and that feeling you've been missing in your households and i really can't imagine playing without pets now. the world this pack comes with is absolutely gorgeous i love it. the cas and build mode items are amazing i love almost all the items, they have a very homey and beachy feeling to them and i love it. generally, this pack is pretty good but if you could i would wait until a sale comes around bc $40 is a bit much, however if you really want the feeling pets bring to the game then go for it, it's totally worth it.
