Zing Thing
Got these Just to see how good they are (I'm a fan of Ernie Ball Cobalts but they are soooo expensive) so far, I'm very impressed they have great tone and zing but we'll see how long they last, I Up date later so stay tooned.Gigged them on Saturday after changing them Friday afternoon (Risky I know) the tuning was stable throughout the gig even with the heat on stageUpdate..... Gigged several times now and still sound great will buy again great value for money

Good roundwound strings
Good quality strings. Scratchy as are all roundwound strings.

Very nice coated strings for 5-string bass
Very nice coated strings for 5-string bass, not as zingy as the 45-130 D'addarios EXL but good on an ibanez. I think they have a hex core like most "power" style strings. No idea who really makes them. Seem easy on the fingers and frets. Good sustain. Just a little bit cheaper than GHS Bass Boomer 5M-DYB, which sound great and is un-coated. Don't sound the same as Elixir coated strings either.

Do not buy, awful discoloration and turns your fingers black
The strings seemed ok in the first week but very quickly after that the coating came off and underneath it looks like copper. The discoloration is unreal and even after 10-15 minutes of playing my fingers on both hands have turned black. They lose their brightness after 2 weeks tops. The images show the strings after 2 months of playing maybe 4 hours a week max for the past 2 months so at most 32 hours max playtime.

go black after a few times playing
sorry I cannot recommend these strings because the longevity at first they were great then after a couple of days playing i noticed these strings becoming dark and dingy I thought as i was buying official Ibanez strings these would last but unfortunately this was not the case i bought a set of Bray generic bronze wound stringswhich outlasted these by a mile not good from Ibanez to be worse than a generic off brand. I am not sure if this was a one off but reading through the reviews this seemed to be a common occurrence. Personally I would avoid.

Very bright, but leave black residue on fingers
Sound great, but didn't use them long enough as they leave a black residue/dust on fingertips when playing. Never had this in 20 years of playing.
