Henry Squire Stronghold 5 Wheel Open Shackle Combi Hardened Steel Padlock with Weather Cover

Excellent heavy duty lock. It feels very substantial and the combination dials work perfectly. I don't know why other people have had a problem, but I was able to change the combination without difficulty and definitely could not tell what it was just by pulling on the lock and rotating the dials. I've bought this padlock because my last one that was not as heavy duty was broken into with bolt cutters. I hope that this one will withstand a similar attack, but until (hopefully not) that happens I can't comment on it's strength.

So far I have received 3 faulty locks and now I’m left out of date for the return policy and still with a faulty lock. The barrel on this lock and the mechanism stick and seize up both of which makes the lock becomes unusable. There must be other locks on the market at this price which work. This is the most disappointing product I’ve ever bought. My advice is purchase a different lock to this one.

I puchased 2 padlocks last May expecting them to be thief proof. Found out this morning that both padlocks (different combinations had been set on each one) had been unlocked by a thief. To cap it all, the padlocks had also been stolen. No signs of cutting or brute force was used, but somehow the thiefs had managed to unlock them.Up to now I had been very happy with the locks, but clearly they can be opened by thiefs. I will switch to a key padlock in the future.

5 years on and the padlock is still in a good condition, I think it used to have a bit of rubber on it which had come off but it doesn't matter. It has been outside pretty much the whole time and still operates as it should. I would recommend this padlock for its toughness and quality.

Strong and secure for combination lock. Only issue, hence only 4 star, was the tool supplied to change the combination broke on first use. This meant emailing the manufacturer for a new one. So perhaps great if you don't need to change the combination often.

This has already lasted longer than the *weatherpoof* lock I purchased from somewhere else. 3 months outside in all sorts its showing no sign of wear and tear

Have bought 5 of these padlocks & they have survived all weathers & not worn at all - wouldn’t buy any other now

Feels solid and easy to set up and use
