Good... but forgotten by Linksys
It's a very good router if it comes to WiFi range, stability or performance, however there are few things that are quite annoying, unless you install DD-WRT (very easy process) on it.The smart WiFi is just useless, I can't really say a single good word about this feature. If you want to use your own custom DNS, the router's DHCP will always allocate default gateway as a DNS address to its clients, apparently its a smart WiFi "feature" that cannot be changed as what's I've been told by the Linksys support (they just couldn't understand why someone would like to use its own DNS and the router's DHCP to assign it to its clients. When I mentioned Pi-Hole they did not know what I'm talking about)Next the firmware itself, last release in 2020, makes the router a bit forgotten by Linksys which is quite annoying when for example the guest network on it isn't working as it uses a port that cannot be changed and that's been blocked long time ago by all Web browsers due to vulnerability (it's guest network once connected, requires to open Web browser and connect to router through certain port then sign in, like public hotpots etc.)Linksys is aware of this issue, yet has no plans to release the firmware update to fix it.So if you need a router with stable connection and strong WiFi, buy it and upgrade its firmware to DD WRT, otherwise, buy something else.

Latest stock firmware is rock-solid as is latest DD-WRT beta.
As soon as I connected this up it downloaded the latest Linksys firmware. I am currently using the WRT3200ACM as a router, with my Virgin Media Hub 3 in modem mode. As a WiFi router it has been absolutely rock solid for several days (which can't be said of the Hub 3). Wireless performance (speed and range) is no better or worse than the Hub 3, I was hoping it would be better.I briefly tried the LEDE firmware. This was OK but the web interface (LuCi) is absolutely dire. The interface is unintuitive and undocumented plus the web interface would occasionally just die altogether. I returned to the stock firmware, which is easy to do, and everything is once more working well. Maybe I'll try DD-WRT at some point. I also plan to try the WRT3200ACM in bridge and repeater modes.Update January 2018 - The stock firmware remained rock solid and the only time the router has ever been restarted was for some innocuous reason (like moving it). However I have now switched to DD-WRT (01-19-2018-r34578 beta build). There's a few things that don't seem to work properly yet, like the wifi speed-test, USB storage and the "third" radio channel (there's only two really), but overall it seems just as stable as the stock firmware but with far better functionality. One huge benefit is being able to use a free dynamic DNS service (I'm using no-ip, but you can use any one you like). One thing I did have to change to get the same performance as the stock firmware was the channel width at 5GHz. The default is 20MHz wide. I found it needs to be at least 40MHz and maximum throughput was at 80MHz with my PC and phone (Galaxy S5). Setting it to the max width (160MHz) prevented anything connecting. Also it defaults to US wifi regulations, which reduces power, so I changed it to UK. I'm consistently getting 250Mbps download speeds on the Ookla Speedtest site, over 5GHz AC wifi (with my Hub 3 router in another room, through 2 brick walls).

Good for OpenWRT for me, Poor WiFi performance with DD-WRT
I got the WRT3200ACM, The WiFi Performance is great, it's a bloody great router and far beats the stock ISP(Virgin Media Superhub, ew) router I was using before. I find that it doesn't cover my entire house, But that's not supprising considering my walls are fairly thick, so I'm probably going to to hook up more APs. But it does cover nearly the entire top floor of my house.I have tested it on all 3 different types of advertised firmware, Stock DD-WRT and OpenWRT, I had no problems with flashing and all 3 "worked"(as in they launched, and could be accessed on WiFi and Eth)however I found that DD-WRT gave poor WiFi performance on the 5Ghz band for some reason, It might have just been how I had it configured(I was getting 10mbps instead of the normal 200-300mbps on other firmwares on my phone) but It's not really a problem for me as I actually perfer OpenWRT however if you really like DD-WRT it is something to keep in mind.Open WRT has brillant WiFi performance and range, actually competing with the stock firmware(although a wee bit slower(like 280-ish mbps on my phone(which has pretty poor WiFi chip tbf) instead 300)) of , Overall a brillant router. The stock firmware is pretty good too, of course it's nowhere near as good options wise as something like OpenWRT, It supports running an OpenVPN server, and custom DNS options and all the configurability options that you would find from any normal consumer router.Overall a great router.

I'm VERY happy
New router came with old firmware (dropping WiFi). Linksys Helpdesk sent me new firmware. Since then router works like a dream. No issues. It supports 8 devices gaming and streaming same time on WiFi without freezing, drops or lag. Ping to google.co.uk improved from 12ms to 8ms.I'm using this router in bridge mode. I didn't have to do any adjustments and fiddling. Plug and Play device. Internet port from Linksys into provider LAN port and that's it. Easy as it can beMenu and settings in router are self explaining. It does Open VPN tooo!!! No big brother watch anymore. Provider doesn't scan or restrict me anymore.

Great device for home network
This router is great, it is very fast, easy to set up, even more easier to configure. Linksys phone app works great with it, there are so many options to configure from it so do not have to login to the router from the browser. I wish only that the wifi signal would be a bit stronger, then it would not have any weak points. Overal, 9.7/10. Worth its price. Highly recommended!
