I've bought several of these now. They're not cheap, but they're well sized, stay in place in a busy kitchen drawer and protect my Damascus blades from scuffs and scratches.

I bought these for my Global knives because I couldn't find some other sheathes which Lakeland used to stock. I'm not the happiest with them and I'm not so sure of their long term functionality.If you are looking for a thin sheath, maybe to help you store your knives in a drawer, and not for much travel then these might be good for you.They are very thin, and offer little to no protection from bending, or bumps on the spine of the knife. They are also open ended. I would not recommend these for global knives due to their single piece construction, as the smooth bolster from the blade to the handle means that if they are pushed forward into this sheath, the tip can protrude and either be damaged or cause damage.Larger knives, such as my Santoku knife, leave a great deal of the knife exposed, only essentially protecting the edge.I know you are supposed to look after your knives with great care, but sometimes a sheath is necessary, and when it is necessary, this might not be the best one to go for. And the Global magnetic ones are far worse.I would look elsewhere for a better .

Great Sheath! Knife is now well protected.It should maybe be pointed out that the BACK of the sheth is open (not wure whether they all are), so you don't slot the knife in length-wise, but perpendicular.It's not a problem, just not what I expected.

Fits well, stays in place, takes up hardly any room. Great.Knives need to be kept with blades covered to maintain their sharpness, a block or metal strip can blunt them. (another option is a wood-covered magnetic strip)

Este protector de cuchillos de cocina es muy bueno. Protege el borde de la hoja del contacto con otros objetos de cuchillos, evitando lesiones en el borde. Es de buena calidad y los materiales son adecuados para este tipo de protección. Es fácil y cómodo de usar y es pequeño, ligero y elegante. Está preparado para recibir cuchillos con hojas de diferentes tamaños (aproximadamente 4 cm de ancho). Es un poco caro pero la calidad de los materiales justifica el precio. Recomiendo su compra.

Mangels Platz gibt es keinen messerblock, also landet das kurz zuvor erworbene Brotmesser von Zwilling in einer Schublade. Um die Klinge zu schonen hatte ich für andere Messer schon die Klingenschoner der jeweiligen Hersteller. Diese "Stulpe" von Zwilling ist nichts Besonderes im Vergleich zu den Klingenschützern von Wüsthof. Allerdings paßt sie hervorragend zum Brotmesser Twin Pollux, dessen Klinge sie nun vor Beschädigungen schützen soll.
