Vintage Manual Coffee Grinder Ceramic Conical Burr Portable Hand Crank Coffeemaker (Flaxen)

Looks great, & I know that you can get replacement ceramic burrs for them.It does give your arm a workout using it.The draw for the ground coffee is a bit small, & awkward to empty into a small cafetiere, & some coffee powder always misses.It's well made with 2 springs inside hold the draw in place so it doesn't pop out while using. Adjustment for your choice of grind is unfortunately by trial and error. But I when it arrived the setting was ok for Fine ground for a Cafetiere. I have since adjusted it a little courser, so it doesn't take me so long to grind.

Its simple enough , looks and feels great, but needs constant adjustment to keep the ground coffee coming out fine, im going to try and fit a lock nut to stop the mechanism unwinding, I think it will work a treat then.

Looked ok and appeared to be quite robust for grinding of coffee beans. A little awkward to hold while grinding the coffee and definitely for those with a smaller hand. No problem adjusting the fineness of grind. BIG problem after nearly 3 weeks of use, of the base beginning to detach from the main body. Too flimsy construction in my opinion so would not recommend this product.

Very easy to use and great for two person amount of beans. Only used for a couple of weeks but so far so good.More than a year later, still works very well as we use it every weekend and more. Can vary the grind easily. Great product thanks.

This works quite well using a burring motion instead of blades, which gives a great texture to the coffee. Needs to be used on a surface at the correct height for giving strength to one’s arm to grind the beans and needs a cloth or similar to avoid slipping around whilst using force to grind.The receptacle for ground up beans is very small - to produce enough for an average sized filter coffee pot, I have to grind about 6 handfuls of beans and empty the ground coffee drawer at least about 8 times.This item provides value for money but am now looking at getting something larger to suit my needs

It looks OK but in general doesn't perform the best and definitely isn't worth 20 pounds

A bit loud when using it but it has it charm. I like, it's retro, works, makes good coffee of the coffee beans and I would defensively recommend it. Tho if you want a lot of amount of grinded coffee. Then get a bigger one.

es ist vielleicht für den richtigen Gebrauch zu klein, aber dafür sieht es sehr gut aus und funktioniert einwandfrei.Wer also eben ne kleine Menge Pfeffer, Kaffeebohnen, etc. braucht, ist es in Ordnung. Aber, wenn die kleine Schublade voll ist, dann geht das Malgut darüber hinaus ins Gerät, was aber nicht weiter schlimm ist, da man das dann auch noch rausklopfen kann. Die Einstellung des Malwerks über das obere Rädchen funkioniert ebenfalls einwandfrei.

Si tratta di un classico macina caffè manuale ma con l'aggiunta di un aspetto "retrò" che lo rende davvero bello a vedersi.Ho acquistato il modello "rosso" (anche se la descrizione riporta "marrone"..) e lo uso regolarmente per macinare il caffè per la mia caffettiera Napoletana. Permette di regolare la grana della macinatura ma personalmente mi va bene la regolazione che il macinino aveva già al momento dell'acquisto.Il caffè macinato viene depositato in un cassetto estraibile che contiene la quantità di caffè giusta per una moka da due tazze ma ovviamente dipende dalla tipologia di macinatura impostata.Quando non uso il macinino, lo lascio in vista, sopra la mia cucina in quanto è davvero bello a vedersi.Sono pienamente soddisfatto !
