I have used April violets for many years, particularly as a young woman I loved it as it was very fresh and the smell lasted for ages from the perfume spray I used. Hoping to revisit this lovely scent I thought I would get some April violets products...sadly the smell hasn't been anything near to what I expected. So far I've used the shower gel it is very nice quality and lathers well but hardly any smell. Back to this review and today I tried the hand cream I bought recently and although it feels good quality and soaks into the skin without leaving it greasy which I always look for in a hand cream, again there was hardly any smell to it..what hint of smell there was quickly disappeared and did not smell like April violets at all! I have yet to try the body spray I bought but am not expecting much after trying these two products. Maybe I have been unlucky but the smell, or lack of, is nowhere near the quality of Yardley which I have used for years. Disappointed to reduce stars due to the lack of smell, even our cats didn't notice I had any cream on!

I bought this for the lavendar smell, but this does not smell of lavendar at all. I recently had a hand cream from boots called lavendar haze it smelt lovely like lavendar but can't seem get hold it now. Hence me trying this one for the price. Yes the price is good and the cream is ok to use as hand cream but if like me you're after lavendar scent I'd walk on by and try something else.

Use it on my hands at night. Absorbs well and smell is relaxing b

Non greasy, easy to use and absorbs quickly. A great product.
