GoHopper 15.6" Matt Black Laptop Briefcase Messenger Bag with Shoulder Strap & Carry Handles, Leather Feel

I started a new job a few weeks ago and my old Dell laptop bag was starting to look a little bit long in the tooth. I'm a customer facing, field sales person so I need a brief case that will carry lots and house various different compartments whilst looking good.The thing I like most about this briefcase is the number of different compartments it has. There is a 'flap' on the front of the bag where I can put things in that I need quick access to in a meeting like my mobile phone, some give away customer gifts and my pen and pencil. Inside there are two separate zipped sections, one with a protective laptop sleeve built in, having enough padding to protect my computer from drops and bangs.On top of all that, there is a very comfortable shoulder strap and a part of handles that don't hurt my hands.I think the days of rigid briefcases are over - this one can be anything I want it to be and I would be happy to use for leisure purposes too.

This bag does have a design fault. Within a short while of having this bag the rearmost compartments zip broke, and credit where credit is due the suppliers did replace the bag. Now that particular compartment I do not use even once a week (unlike all the other compartments) - but maybe once every 2 months. And yes you have guessed it, the very same zip has broken on the replacement. It is a design fault pure and simple.Update August 2017 now the bag is just over 12 months old one of the main compartments zips has now broken making the bag unusable.

The zip lining and then zip broke on this bag after 6 months of non-intensive use.The material feels and looks great, but the actual zip area seems to be weak - certainly in my experience. I would have expected several years of use.I would consider this product something of a risk; they seem to either work out great or break unexpectedly early.

Love my new bag, I have been using it for a few weeks. Lots of room and lots of compartments to split all my work stuff. Has a padded section inside for my computer and several pockets for my pens and, tape measures. I often carry heavy brochures and folders and seems to easily be able to handle the stress. It's a good quality imitation leather and quite strong. Also, comes with an adjustable shoulder strap that I use quite often.

Laptop bag was a replacement for a much more expensive leather bag that broke after many years.This is is not real leather, and doesn't pretend to be. It looks good nonetheless, professional enough for the office.If it could maintain the shape it has in the photo it would get five stars, with a laptop and a few other bits in inside it doesn't look quite so tidy.Have used it for several months now and still looks great. Durable material, well built, would recommend.

Strap broke within the first two months. The metal clip bent under the “weight” of the bag and it’s contents. Luckily I used a strap I had from another bag. A few months down the line and the zip on both main compartments has broken. A shame as the bag looks nice and is a good size for what I need. Tempted to buy it again but the quality has let me down so I’ll probably be looking for an alternative this time.

The bag quality degraded after 8 months and the spring from the corners of the bag came out and started scratching everything they came in contact with.

My old bag finally broke after 2 intensive years of use. I was on the look out for a slightly bigger bag that would be able to hold laptop, books (uni student) and food/other objects when I go traveling. It holds weight good, and the strap looks steady even when bag is full of books. Not yet to used it for traveling but can definitely squeeze food in there. Not super bifg, more of a comfortable size.
