Lumie Bodyclock IRIS 500 - Aromatherapy Wake-Up Light Alarm Clock

A wonderful product; my entire life has changed because of it! Unfortunately, one of my dogs ate the remote. But that's his fault--everything else works brilliantly. I've recommended this product to everyone I know. Everything that the product advertised is true, and almost all the customers' reviews were correct. Don't listen to the ones that say it is difficult to set up or that the manual is too long.--The manual comes in several different languages, so it appears daunting, but there are only about 10 pages of instructions per language. Set-up is easy, even for those who are not technologically savvy. Just follow the directions--it's that easy!

The Lumie range of Bodyclocks are excellent, this is the second of this range that I've owned, and I'm very pleased with it.Easy to set up, with a good digital display that is not too bright, yet easy to read during the night, the clock is classy and although larger than my previous model, still fits neatly on a smallish bedside table.I especially like the aromatherapy feature which enables you to fall to sleep / be woken up to different smells. For me, lavender at night and citrus or peppermint first thing in the morning have been especially good. The oil chambers are easy to fill, easy to access and once you've read all of the instructions, it's a doddle.I do like the natural sunlight wake up feature of this model too - it starts slow, gradually building up to full light and waking up in this light is not a shock to the system at all. If you wish, you can adjust the brightness levels, and can also use this model as a bedside light.My one dislike is the alarm buzzer. I hate it! It's harsh and I would much prefer a clock/radio feature or something that is less like a traditional alarm.** UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW ~ 19 DECEMBER 2012. Just a couple of months use and the light has stopped working! The alarm and the clock are still going, but the light is no longer coming on. As this is a sealed unit, without a bulb, and uses LED, I am unable to see what has happened, and cannot fix it. Very disappointed **

I bought this to replace a Philips alarm I'd had and loved for years, which sadly broke and is now discontinued. For one of the more expensive clocks of this type, this is a very disappointing product and I really would advise you to save your money. I'm actually pretty angry about it as it's such a waste of money.The aromatherapy doesn't really work, the scent is too faint to be useful and it's a faff to use, but the mechanism does mean that instead of waking up to natural light you wake up to a loud electrical buzzing - hardly a zen start to the day. There's one pretty unrestful alarm sound and the alarm clock is about as basic as you could make it - I don't mean ease of use. The light is white, not golden light of the Philips alarm.

Used this for many years now, the light always wakes me before the alarm goes off. Would like to be able to vary the alarm noise. Aromatherapy is slightly temperamental but when it works well it is lovely.

I had to get a replacement parts from the maunfacturer as the oils used in the aromatherapy chambers corrode the atomiser unit within a month. I only used lavender oil as well....If it does this again I will return the product.

I purchased this for my home in the US. I wasn’t 100% sure an adapter would work but it did for me. I had a light alarm for years that broke and hoped I would like this as much. I am SO happy with the purchase!!! I don’t use the sound but the light and aromatherapy are wonderful!!

I bought this primarily for the aromatherapy setting, however, the aromatherapy part does not work. The chambers are placed in the correct holes with water and oils, the aromatherapy mist works for 5 minutes then the warning light comes on for empty chambers even though they are not empty. The aromatherapy setting does not come in the morning either because the chambers are empty or work loose. Lumie customer service were not helpful, asking me to ensure they were placed correctly and to contact them with proof of purchase for further assistance.Altogether a poor product.

It really is a great item but the aromatherapy function doesn't work as well as you may hope.
