Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer--and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realise they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right. Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon (Cars, Mater and the Ghostlight, Tracy), produced by Kori Rae (Up, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc.) and features music from future Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Fame–inductee and award winning composer Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 3).

Anyone seen Mike The Disco Ball?!!!!
What can I say, another cracking film from Pixar! Loved it from start to finish! Great story, really funny in parts, with awesome visuals! Remember the trailer? Sully turned Mike into a disco ball, unless I'm going mad, I don't recall seeing that sequence in the final feature. Sound and picture quality on the DVD are top notch and I certainly didn't have any syncing problems on my copy! The Blue Umbrella short is worth watching too! Going back to the main film, lookout for the slug that's late for class and make sure you carry on watching till after the final credits have rolled, you'll be glad you did! That's all I'm saying! Pixar you rock! Can't wait to see Finding Dory now! It's the follow up to Finding Nemo and is gonna be brilliant if it's as good as the former! Happy Days! :)

Monsters are back to school
Monsters University is an absolute joy from start to finish. A genius move of Pixar to revisit some old characters by creating a totally plausible prequel story.Colourful, energetic and full of funny and interesting characters the imagination of Pixar never ceases to amaze. Here we find Mike and Sulley before they were friends both with dreams of becoming the best scarers in Monstropolis. Of course the path to true friendship has many ups and downs so this forms the main crux of the story. After trying to outdo each other in class and knocking over the Deans' prized capsule and smashing it into pieces they are promptly chucked out of the scaring school. Mike decides to enter a scaring competition to prove that he is worthy of such a position and ends up with the most unscary bunch of monsters you could imagine.Cue some hilarious challenges. The pace is quick and the energy high. Admittedly some of the characters in Mike's group are nothing more than talking heads to make up numbers but on the whole they are a fun bunch to hang around with. The usual Pixar standards are in place such as the superb animation and some well developed relationships and characters that you cannot help but root for.Pixar have managed to take something that could well have been stale and turned it into something fresh and inventive. If any anything it is a delight to hang around with some old friends once again.

My son has almost worn the disk out already!
Love, love, love this film. We saw in in the cinema and I just had to get it for my 3yr old son who was a massive fan of the original Monsters Inc. He thinks this one is better than the first and since Christmas we must have watched it about 100 times. I have to say that it is starting to get a little frustrating for me having it on in the background all the time but hey, he loves it so that's all that matters ;)Definitely a very good, family film that can be watched over and over and over again ......

Highly Amusing.
I was somewhat dubious going into watching this, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The humour & light-heartedness is highly amusing, even for those of us who are probably not the film's intended target audience, and consequently draws you into the rest of the film. It is a reasonably long film, but you don't really notice that because of the light-heartedness of it all. If truth be told, I enjoyed this film a lot more than I probably should've done, and if it can make me chuckle & keep me entertained for the duration I've no hesitation in recommending everyone give it a watch.

Better than i expected
I love disney movies especially the pixar ones, i have seen the first monsters inc when it first came out a few years ago and really enjoyed it and when i heard they were making a prequal which this is i wasnt sure that it would be good.Well i was proven wrong as this is much more funnier than the original, and apart from the two main monsters in the movie the other monster designs are brilliant and the animation is top quality. Buy it excellent family film.
