Cappec Kitchen Meat Thermometer with Sound Alert for Oven BBQ Smoker Grill

Forget all the other meat thermometers you ever owned and get this one. At the price Amazon was offering it at (70% off list) it's pretty much unbeatable. This is an accurate electronic meat thermometer that can also double as an oven thermometer reading up to 200C. If you just want this for a normal European-sized oven, ignore the reviews that say the cable isn't long enough as I found it to be plenty long enough. The only slight negative is that it's clearly designed for use at eye-level and so if you attach it to a built-under oven then you need to crouch down to read the figures, but even that is offset by the fact that it has an alarm so it starts beeping anyway when the meat gets to your desired temperature. I just left it on the worktop when I used it and that was fine. BTW, it comes set to Fahrenheit when you buy it, but a little piece of paper at the bottom of the pack tells you that you just press the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time to switch it to Celsius.

Excellent product and good value too. Much quicker than others I have tried and the long cable means you can put the probe into the roasting meat in the oven while the display is outside. Useful for checking fridge temp too.

its ok but not much info on how to set and although its probably my fault my last one had a timer built in as well

Received item 5th February.Unfortunately dead on arrival, temperature displays HHH regardless of probe being plug in or not.After spotting the product on Amazon US, there is loads of terrible feedback about faulty products.

Does exactly what it states. Works very well just set the temperature you want the meat to be cooked to and away you go. Takes the guesswork out of your Sunday roast.
