This is a great book. Unmissable for the fans of the genre (‘filone’). It’s informative as well as entertaining. The theory section is over too soon, I would have loved to read more about the history and development of the genre, but for that there’s plenty of other books around. Right now I’m enjoying the film section and watching every single film as I read about them.

Essential reading

An educational insight into the wonderful world of Giallo. A little 'wordy' perhaps but nevertheless a good tome.

A superb book. A film by film account of the giallo genre with an abundance of gorgeous pictures of stills and film posters.. Meticulously reviewed and very well written. Absolutely indispensable for any fan of horror.
