I bought the 45 watt model at the end of November for use in a small tent type cold frame. After reading the reviews I was really undecided because of the horrors reported by previous buyers. I was not sure what size to buy until I spoke to one of the garden centers advertising the product. I was told that the 45 watt model was man enough for a tent of 0.8 cubic meters capacity. My tent is 0.5 cubic meters so decision made. First impressions after delivery was that it was a good pice of kit. From appearances anyway. I plugged in and stood back wondering what to expect! There was some smoke from one end but this disappeared after a couple of minutes. Because the end caps of the heater tube are a push fit I reckon that a grease is used to make assembly easier and the smoke was the grease evaporating. Just my opinion! Also another fault reported that the screws holding the feet are too short. When I dropped the screws into the holes I thought the same but turned them home and they tightened up perfectly. I am using the heater on a timer and it is working faultlessly. Today the outside temperature registered 0 degrees but inside my tent it was 6.3 degrees. I have cuttings from the summer and potted on seedlings thriving and am pleased so far. Still anxious about when the temps drop to -5 or -6 degrees. As I say so far so good and I am pleased with my purchase.

Appears well-made and has functioned as expected over the last 10 days.

I've just checked the temperature in the shed in which this is used and, coupled with a temperature sensitive switch, it is performing perfectly. The snow is on the ground and the shed is maintaining a temp above zero to protect it's contents. Just make sure you get a size appropriate for requirements. Oh, the first one I bought arrived with a broken bracket but, on contacting Amazon, they sent a replacement immediately and allowed me to return the broken version in my own time. 10/10 Amazon

I have 6 x 6 greenhouse. the 80W model won't make much difference but will raise the temp 1-2 c and stop the frost from killing tender plants. It won't be any good in a hard frost but for those April nights when the temp just drops below its perfect. I control mine with a WiFi smart switch triggered by temp less than 2c. Even with high priced electricity its a good solution.

Can’t say how it works, returned it as it did not have a controllable thermostat. The description said “temperature Control” ?

I like the fact that it uses very little electricity ( only the equivalent of a 45watt bulb I think). I bought it for the cupboard under the stairs as it is cold and usually feels damp. This has worked perfectly. I'm very careful not to cover it up and always make sure there's plenty space around it for fire safety. B

The positive : Nice smart colour The negatives: Just doesn’t work. Touch buttons are poorly conceived, frustratingly work sometimes. It is not thermostat controlled. This is going back. My advice : Avoid !

Does what you expect. Lose a star for making claims of energy efficiency. That is not true. It is an 80W heater, and uses 80W of power. No energy efficiency applies. Used in a chickin incubator - works well.

No assembly required. A quality product upon receipt but requires 220 Volt power which was risky with my outdoor application. Returned but would recommend in a safe electrical location. I did not plug it up or test it.

tengo un invernadero-semillero y lo pongo a las horas en las que hiela y me sube unos 3 grados. Hasta ahora ha bastado para superar las heladas . Veremos que pasa en los dias de mas crudo invierno

Geringer Energieverbrauch, schnelle Lieferung. War schnell angeschlossen mit einer WLAN Steckdose. Einen Steckeradapter brauchte ich doch nicht, war ein normaler EU Stecker dran. Hoffe, damit kann ich diesmal meinen Oleander über den Winter retten.
