Briliant ALUMINIUM & STAINLESS steel polish 150ml

Good all round fine polish for maintaining high lustre finishes. Not so effective on real heavy pitted alloys but good finishing polish.

We were having the greatest of difficulty in cleaning and polishing our stainless steel cooker hood. Cleaning it was straightforward enough, but polishing it afterwards was proving to be an absolute nightmare. The steel always showed tarnishing, fingermarks etc. After much internet research ( which didn't turn up anything particularly helpful) and trying of various products, I have to say the whole issue was starting to "do my head in".Then I found this polish on Amazon and I am genuinely pleased with the results. Strangely, the polish is supplied in a bottle which has the sort of cap usually associated with bottles of mineral water.... which I did find a bit weird as a lot of the polish was dribbling down the side of the cap. I ended up taking the cap right off.Please note that you do need microfibre cloths to do the final polishing, I did try using ordinary cloths but they did nothing. This stuff only seems to work in conjunction with microfibre cloths.Delighted.Edited 2013- one other tip I have learned is that when you do finally manage to get your stainless steel clean, you should give it a quick rub down with Johnstone's baby oil. It was a professional chef who taught me this dodge. The next time you go to clean the steel, you just wipe off the coating of baby oil ( which is now dirty, obviously) and clean as normal. It works for me!

Couldn't say it made much difference.

I tried out the polish as soon as it arrived yesterday on my kitchen tap. I was and still am amazed at how brilliantly shiny my tap became! It's a wonderful product, and I have no hesitation in recommending it without reservation! I love the fact that it not only cleans and polishes, but it continues to protect as well, and my tap gets a lot of use daily! Last night my tap had lost none of its brilliance, so I am looking forward to using it on the kitchen unit handles today and all the other stainless steel and aluminium surfaces, in the kitchen and bathroom. My cycle, too, is in dire need of a really effective, and brilliant shine-up, and I know that this product will have it looking shop new without much effort on my part at all!

Works well, chrome and exhaust clean up well.

Bought this item October 2011 and have only used a handful of times. Very easy application, make sure the surface you wish to polish is clean and dry. Before application I try to steam clean the surface, rub clean with a micrfibre cloth, and then dry. Apply a small amount of the polish to a microfibre cloth, maybe one specific for stainless steel, and polish gently onto the surface. A couple of coats ought to give a nice even shine. Very nice polish to work with, didn't leave any streaks behind.

I originally purchased this in January 2014. My purpose of purchasing this was to remove minor scratches from Stainless Steel and Aluminum products! I've used this on various products within 18 months and it made no difference whatsoever! I've recently purchased and used Autosol Metal Polish which is around £5 cheaper and is the true brilliant metal polisher!

I use this in conjunction with Solvol Autosol to polish the stainless steel downpipes on my motorcycle. I was previously happy with the results achieved with the Autosol but this takes the finish to a new level with a deep reflective shine achieved with not a lot of effort. Pricey at £12.95 for a 150ml bottle but good stuff
