Cover Your Gray Fill-In Powder Hair Color with Procapil - Medium Brown

Where do I start? For this incredibly reasonably priced product, I am saving myself hundreds of pounds a year! I must admit I didn't hold out much hope for this working or covering well but it really does. Firstly, the colour match - it's perfect. I think I lucked out there! Secondly, the powder clings to my hair and doesn't come off until I wash it again, it also doesn't come off on pillows. Thirdly, the product is lasting me a long time (still on the first one) because when my greys start to show through I ensure I leave my hair down so I only need to use it on my parting and around my face (you don't have to but of course you'd need more if you put your hair up). Fourthly, I have dark hair with a lot of premature grey (since I was 16, I'm now 39 and about 35% grey I estimate - mainly around top and front of head) I used to get my roots done every TWO WEEKS!! I am now doing it once a month which I just worked out is saving me £1,000 per year! I could probably go longer too, I'm working on it. The only negative? The brush is rubbish, the bristles fall out really easily. Do I care? Not in the slightest, I have lots of other make-up brushes I can use! The only other thing I'd mention (and bear in mind this is for people like me with grey and medium brown hair) I wouldn't say it 100% covers the grey but it seems to blend it somehow, in a more natural way. Because of the way I colour my hair it's a subtle blend of different shades as the dye picks up grey and then my darker hair colour. This powder works so well with that. Finally, the only day I really don't enjoy is the day I am getting my hair done as I can't wear the powder - my hairdresser noticed the dye doesn't stick so well over the powder. It's a small price to pay though!

This was very easy to use and very effective. You simply brush it on your grey roots and voila! - they disappear like magic. The effect was inobtrusive and it matched my hair colour very well. No-one else would be able to tell that you were using it. It lasted well until I next washed my hair. By using this it saves you touching up your roots as frequently, which is a pain of a job. Like another reviewer, I think it would be great if the manufacturer made refills. It seems mad that every time I buy this, I will need to buy the full set with the brush. I am sure the brush will last for a while and will not need to be replaced very often. Providing refills of the powder would encourage people to continue buying the product. Having said this, I think the powder provided will last for quite a long time so possibly I will not need a refill for a long time. Too soon to say. Overall I really liked this and would buy it again.

Do not buy this product. The brushes bristles were fallen out whilst in the box. Doesn't cover grey at all. It is like putting brown eyeshadow on your hair. Waste of money.

Be careful when you buy this product as once you click on it a notice will come up telling you what others have also bought, I put this item in my basket and up came the notice that others had also bought with this product a cover up for thinning hair, so I thought I would try both to see which was the best, so bought both. When they arrived in separate parcels, they were both the same product, at different prices. I felt conned, I looked on Amazon for a complaints department but couldn't find any where to complain. I wont bother sending one back as they didn't cost a lot and I have not tried the product out yet, but if you want to buy one to try only buy the one as the one for thin hair is exactly the same as the one for covering grey hair. Just thought I would try and save you some money just in case you don't like the product at least you will only be throwing away one lot instead of two.

Since i started on thyroxine in my thirties i have gone from thick lush hair on top to patchy thinning hair. The rest of my hair is still full which looked rather odd. I resorted to wearing a false fringe which is very effective but the clips get uncomfortable by the end of the day. I thought at this price it was worth a try. I have been amazed and my hair piece now lies at the back of the drawer. I just dab the brush in the powder and dab on and voila my bald patches are gone. I suppose if you have very severe thinning hair it might not work as well but for patches its great. I will try and do an update with before and afters. It is also fantastic on covering my greys. It's now one of my holy grail products in my bag and I love it. It also does not come off on clothing or in the rain!

Quite disappointed by this product. I had used a different brand of grey coverage powder previously, which was much better. This didn't really cover up the grey hair at all and it comes off on the pillow at night.

I use this at my temples where I have very sparse and fine wispy hair that can make me look a little bit like I am thinning (but many women have fine hair there) this product helps create the 'fullness' illusion and has given me the confidence to grow out my fringe for the first time in years..

This powder is brilliant - its great for filling those little grey areas between colours - and you don't need to use much to cover the area. I would definitely recommend it .
