Better than Scheppach! This is a Makita/Triton clone
This is the best budget track saw on the market, it is the same as the titan sold by screwfix and the triton branded track saw, the only difference is that this one comes with a single 1m length of track thats much more useful than the 700mm track the other 2 come with.i own 4 track saws, including the festool ts55 and the scheppach pl75, this machine is superior to the scheppach for a number of reasons,, first dust collection is slightly improved, second is that this machine has the scribe function that only the above mentioned machines and the makita have, allowing you to cut laminated materials without break out , thirdly it has an anti tipping feature built into the track that lets you cut at an angle without danger of the saw tipping from the trackThe saw uses the same track as the makita and the triton, tracks from them will happily join to the 1m length supplied, an extra length of 1.5m track will give you 2.5m, perfect for cutting sheet goodsi have only one criticism of this saw and its that the length of the power cord is a little shorter than i would like

Does the job...
Didn't get five stars because it's a little fiddle to adjust the guide at the beginning and at the end. Between that it cuts a straight line every time. To be noted that I bought this, just like many other of my tools, used, on Amazon Wharehouse deals, so this might be the cause for my problem.

Thrilled with the purchase @ £120
Agree with prior reviews on this track saw. Well made, plenty of power, good precision and a smooth plunge action!Have combined with "Triton TTSWC Work Clamps - 320 mm" which work well with the track supplied.I paid £120 and it's probably the best value tool I have in the shed, at £99 it's a no brainer.

Very disappointed
Item began smoking and grinding after making less than 30 short cuts. Unfortunately I didn't find out until after the 30day return period. I am trying to return it under guarantee but cannot find a way to do this.Very disappointed, both in the product which seemed good on first use, and that I can't seem to find a way to get it replaced.

Good plunge saw not the best, not the cheapest but, a good plunge saw none the less
Unlike some other reviewer I do own this saw. As for my review it is based on using the saw not just looking at a picture. It's a good saw for the price. I have other saws which I use as well. This one has a good weight to it and is very stable on the track. I mostly use it for doing laminate floors and I have put a 60 tooth blade in to give me a better cut. The blade supplied is not great but good for rough timber or outside projects and decking. The track is just a generic track and my other high priced plunge saw track fits just as good. For doing sheet work I use my own homemade track which serves me well. I copied it from plans available from the internet (YouTube and look for yourself) This isn't a high priced saw and it most definitely is not a cheap plunge saw. The motor is strong and there is no bogging down at full depth of cut. The dust collection is good and I would recommend using it with a good site vac for cleaner cutting and site cleanup. Overall it's a good saw and iam not scared to use it and abuse. If it breaks I will buy another one without hesitation. I would not however buy another of my high priced plunge saws (the Green one) there just isn't that much difference in performance and usability to warrant the additional cost. Also I can tell you honestly I will not be getting this saw serviced or the bushes changed like my Green one. The cost of repair and service was more than the cost of this saw. Enough said.

Is this a plunge saw, or just an ordinary circular saw with a guide track.
I don't have this saw and have not handled it, so my rating is nominal. I bought a Scheppach CS 55, with 1.4m of track, which I am very pleased with.It would seem this is just a track saw, with only a 1m length track, not even enough for the width of an 8 x 4 sheet, and it does not seem to have a plunge action, so could only be safely used for cutting from the edge of a sheet. So it could not be used to start a cut in the middle of a sheet, such as to cut a hole in a worktop to fit a sink.It is also not clear if additional lengths of track and track joiners are available if you want to make a longer cut, such as the length of an 8 x 4 sheet. If you don't require the plunge action and a 1m track is long enough for your needs, then this may be suitable. It would, however, seem less expensive to buy an ordinary circular saw and a straight edge to guide it. Otherwise use a general purpose guide track which fits most circular saws, such as the "Wolfcraft 6910000 1 FKS 1.15m Guide Rail for Circular Hand Saws with 2 Clamps", which can be extended. In my view, it would otherwise be worth paying about another £50 to get a proper track and plunge saw, like the Scheppach, with a 1.4m track, which can be further extended when required.
