How to Write a Story: A brilliant and fun story writing book for all those learning at home

I love this although bought for children and not sure they are very interested - seemed like a good idea at the time!

This is a great introduction to story-writing for your child. Designed to work with the imagination, rather than suppress it. Well illustrated and inter-active. My grandchildren loved it.

Parents found it very useful for helping their child to put their story on paper…..

Pages have little illustrations and are jotter like with lots of space and lines so you can write down your ideas directly on to the pages in the book. Lots of tried and tested tips given to structure a story. What is contained in the book is delivered at Key Stage 2 - literacy, so nothing new, but if a child likes exercising the imagination and writing for fun they would be happy to receive it.

Good book, children need some help to understand the concepts and then they can practicing the concepts. Good read and must for all children who want to improve their writing skills.

The book lays out very good flow for understanding different aspects in story writing and certainly helps kids to internalize what it takes to write stories.It should have little more depth and more coverage with many ideas. It should also have some treatment on emphasis in usage of language when one write stories.Overall - a good first book towards writing stories.
