Max and Neo Stainless Steel Chain Martingale Collar - We Donate a Collar to a Dog Rescue for Every Collar Sold

Turned my dog's white fur black in just a few days. No rain, no snow, no bath, just pleasant weather. Any suggestions for removing the black from white fur? Disgusted with company. It's either coated with something or not an appropriate metal. This cannot be the first time this has happened with their product; totally unfair to not address, rectify or at least disclose.

Overall it’s works but the stainless steel part has turned the fur around his neck dog grayish. I have used different brands of these collars for years and this has never happened before. So be aware as this can not be good. Now that it’s been off of him for over a week, the discoloration is going away.

I bought this collar back in April but my it was too big which was fine because i intended it to be her grown up collar anyway..... after searching and searching and reading tons of reviews on this particular collars quality, i was certain she would use this one for a very long time but I am very concerned ... my dog is white and after 2 days, there is a huge discoloration on her fur where the chain sits... this collar has never been wet, i remove it for baths etc. but it seems that the finish is rubbing off on her skin. (she is a pit bull and has very short hair) ... The rest of the collar really is amazing quality, strong, durable and seems like it will last for a long time. but if her neck continues to turn grey...it's gonna have to be replaced! I'm hoping the seller will reach out with a suggestion on how to stop it... but i'm not sure if anything can be done.

After purchasing 3 other Martingale collars, I finally found the perfect one! The Martingale collars are great for dogs who are masters of escape and able to back out of their traditional collars. Max and Neo's collar is well made, strong, has a quick release buckle and metal chain. You really want the quick release buckle for safety and the metal chain provides an audible cue to your dog before the collar tightens. For large dogs, the sturdy design of this collar is a must have. I purchased another collar that was just 1/4 inch thick for my 60 pound, one year old golden retriever. I did not have much faith in this collar holding my pup in stressful conditions. This Max and Neo collar is one inch thick, very sturdy material and comes in pretty colors, too! Max and Neo also donates a collar for every collar bought. The perfect Martingale for my large pup!

I have my dog in training class. She is a rescue pup, who just turned 1. She has a great temperment but the tendencies to be headlong and excited. One of the issues that come with that is excessive pulling while walking. I do NOT want to be so harsc as to get her the collar that has the dig in type prongs all around it. That might be okay for some types of dogs but not mine. The way a martingale collar works is by applying a quick jerk of the leash the dog will feel an uncomfortable squeeze on their neck to sort of ground them and get them back on track. I like this type of martingale collar with the small chain link being the actual working part. I like it because as quick as you jerk the chain and let go, that is how quick the tightness releases. This is not so with other types like all material collars. Now to the quality of this collar...VERY good . I like the sturdiness of it and the fact that the quick release connector has a fail safe thumb switch that helps prevent it for releasing by accident while walking your dog. If you love animals you will love the fact that for everyone that is purchased on is supplied free to a shelter dog. I guess there is no way to confirm this , but that is their stated policy. Bottom line it works for my stated purpose(training) and the quality is definitely there. I was more than surprised by how nice it looks and how well it was made. I am sure this would also make an overall nice leash for dogs that pull too much or just simply try to lead where they want to go instead of where you intend on going.

This is quite a heavy duty collar. That being said, it was not quite what I expected. I'd ordered two - a small and a medium for two dogs weighing 7 lbs. and 13.5 lbs. For some reason they were shipped separately and the small came first. With quite a bit of adjusting (down in size) it fit the larger of the 2 dogs. No way was it going to fit the smaller dog it was purchased for. When the medium sized collar arrived I knew I'd have to return it. Looked like it could eadily fit a 45-50 lb. dog. Other than the overall heft and thickness of the fabric and chain links I have no complaints. I do like that the company donates a comparable collar to shelter dogs!

The perfect collar for our 7 month old 50lb Pittie, the materials and craftsmanship of this collar are outstanding. I love that they donate a collar to a shelter or rescue for every color that is purchased on Amazon. Can't say enough good things about this color I like the snap that has the lock button on it so if you are grabbing her collar or she's rubbing on something she can't accidentally open it I like that it has the snap that you don't have to shove her big head through a collar. You can get a perfect sizing and fit for her neck. No bleed through on the coloring of the bright pink which I have found on to other callers we had for her.I'm highly recommending this caller from this company to all my friends with dogs large or small. Especially the large ones.

This Martingale collar is superior to two others I ordered from a different manufacturer at the same time. I will be ordering two more of these Ma and Neo collars. The collar is a small, but still has a thick and well-finished stitching and feel to it. The chainlink on this particular collar is higher quality than my other two and thicker. But the magic on this design is the buckle. Once I fit it on my dog with the adjustable slide, all I have to do is use the buckle to take it on and off each time we train or walk. My other Martingales have to slide over the dog's head, which means I have to loosen the slide and refit the collar every time. The buckle on this Max and Neo also has a locking mechanism for those who need the additional peace of mind.

It may be more expensive than some collars on Amazon but this is high quality, well finished and strong. The pink colour is a lovely vibrant hot pink and the high visibility stitching is clear and evident. It also has a small loop to attach your tags to so they hang nicely. Can highly recommend. Can't comment on the chain changing the colour of the fur as it only arrived today but I'll update this review if anything changes.

I bought 2 martingales from different sellers, both size small, both 9-11". This one fit my dog's 9" neck perfectly. The one from the other seller was WAY too big and I had to return it so I could buy another of these. These collars are measured correctly. Martingales should be measured as actual collar size, NOT cinched size. So a 9-11" martingale should fit like a regular 9-11" collar, then have the added safety of further cinching when needed to avoid slipping out. THANK YOU for providing a martingale I could actually use... I should have just bought 2 of these ones originally!

Well made martingale collar but the chain part was too heavy for my Cardigan corgi. I spoke with customer service and understand why the collars are made thus but my very stubborn corgi just needs frequent reminding and the martingale seemed to be the best option. I wish I could have helped to support their rescue efforts... very commendable cause

I loved how the colar looked and the width was perfect unfortunately my girl has white on her neck and the metal made her fur go dark grey/ blackish

I loved the fact that there was a safety feature added to the plastic snap that locked it closed. I used it as the first collar for a german shepherd puppy. It was great.
