I ordered this as we needed a receptacle to store scraps in before they go in gardening bin, this is a nice size, colour & I buy compostible liners. It's been a few weeks and am quite happy with my caddie. It does the job required.

Bought this composter as I wanted to upsize our current bin. we wanted something that was easy to clean, without the extra annoyance of buying add-ons like filters. This bin does not disappoint. It fits very nicely on our windowsill in the kitchen. It is very inconspicuous (which is a good thing)If the rest of the Brabantia bins are this good quality we may consider investing in the rest of the range.Prosreally modern lookingsturdy plastic; not flimsy but not too heavyremovable ring to fix caddy bags in place6l capacity (aprx a weeks worth of food waste for a 3 person family; coffee grounds, teabags,veg waste)Easy to clean, can bung it in the dishwasher and easy wipable surface with few awquard cornerslid is easy to open but is able to keep in the nasty smellsConsthe bin does come with a pack of composting bags, which is great, but trying to fit my usual compst bags in it juuuust about makes it with a bit of ripping. Im content with using my cheap supermarket brand composting bags, but if you are particular about fitting bags without ripping the edge, you either need to invest in the Brabantia branded ones or go without.

A good cheap compost bucket,keeps the smell in and no issues with quality.

Having looked at numerous plastic bins,the reviews were not great.I have a Brabantia Bread Bin and so to get another of their products,was the only way forward.They have a fitting to the reverse,so you can fit them to the wall,or like here to the cupboard doors under the sink,these are 12 litres and you get a few Brabantia bin bags with each bin,that fit 10-12 litre bins. This size is ideal for two people and easily lifts off the door,the bags don't sag as you fold them over the side and then replace the lid.Good Job,one colour for Recycle and one for non.We aim to get another brabantia to keep in the middle for food waste to compost.

This food caddy bin is the ideal size for my kitchen, lovely colour, modern looking and not big and clumpy....nice addition to my kitchen.

An excellent bin and just what I wanted. However, I have rated it as only 4 star because the Brabantia PerfectFit bin liners that are made to fit this bin are ridiculously overpriced. The Amazon price for this bin has risen from £17 to £21.47 since I bought it. Although not a pedal operated bin (which I did not want, as I do not have it on the floor), the lid is very easy to open and as it opens to just over vertical, it stays up when opened. I use it for fruit & vegetable peelings and the PerfectFit bin liner stays in position when the bin is emptied (unlike my old bin, which used generic bin liners, that were no a perfect fit and the bin liner would fall out and invert itself when emptied, so very messy), so it is easy and not too messy to empty.

I wanted something that fit in the small space next to my regular trash can for my recycle items. This was just right. I think the largest one would have been too big. I love the sage green color and handle. I have not used the bracket you can hang it on yet. But might. So far this is fine to grab and go.

NYC requires composting, so had to get something

I don't know why every other countertop compost bin has a lid that doesn't completely close or even massive holes where fruit flies can get in and lay their eggs. Gross, gross, gross. This one, in contrast, closes completely, and doesn't have any weird nooks and crannies where the flies can set up their nurseries. It's super easy to clean with a rinse or in the dishwasher (the lid too) and doesn't really retain odors. I also like that it has a little notch in the back where you can tuck the liner bag, if you use one. I got the smaller size and it's plenty big if I empty it every 3-4 days.

Elegant design, and the fit & finish are excellent.The swing-up lid unit also lifts off the bottom storage bin for easy cleaning of both.The handle is conveniently attached to the bottom storage bin, not to the lid jnkt, so you can leave the lid indoors while you carry the storage bin to empty it in your recycle/compost container.The surfaces are easy to clean and the unit is inconspicuous.We have the smallest size which works well for us because we prefer to empty it almost every day.You might prefer the larger size if you want to wait several days before having to empty it.Either way, with the lid down there are no noticeable odors and insects cannot get it.
