Bergeron's Pecans

The small size of these pecans makes them great in recipes because they are more nearly bite-sized.

I purchased 4 bags of shelled halves. I think the supplier/distributor sent me some OLD pecans, Two of the four bags WERE RANCID AND I had to sort through the other two bags to get the aged but not quire rancid pecans. Having grown up in La, I fully expected a better product from Bergeron.

The pecans are always good. I have been buying them as gifts for 10-15 years.

My family has ordered pecans for many years from Bergeron with no problem. A few weeks ago, my box arrived full of dried out rancid nuts. I thought there must have been a mistake--last year by some error? After writing to Customer Service two times with zero response, I now know it was deliberate. They must be trying to rid themselves of old inventory. This will be my LAST order from Bergeron. Shame!

I live in Louisiana and these are the only pecans I use and I cook a lot. They are the standard for Louisiana cooking. The reviews with one star are not indicative of the product that I have used for many years. Pecans have to be refrigerated or frozen. They are their best without refrigeration for a few weeks, in the refrigerator for about 3 months and frozen for a year.

Bought a bag while travelling through Louisiana at Rouse's Grocery store. They were the best pecans I have ever eaten! So buttery and flavorful. I have never been a pecan fan (except in a pie) but these were fantastic and I am going to purchase more online!
