I purchased these as replacement wheels for the vintage office chair I reupholstered and spruced up. The original hard rubber wheels were in great shape, but the hard rubber was loud on the floor as the chair rolled. And I also knew from experience that hard rubber and plastic type wheels would eventually damage my wood floor unless I used a plastic chair mat underneath (yuck). I was initially worried that these might not fit, but they fit perfectly! And the installation took less than 5 minutes, using no tools. Just pull off the old wheel and insert the new one.These are so quiet and smooth, and they are much easier to roll over floor transitions and on carpeted floors (I tested this out by rolling the chair into another room). The chrome plating matches the chrome on my vintage chair base, and the wheels are just like the ones I used to have on my Rollerblades, which feels pretty fun and modern to me. I think these are so much nicer looking than any of the other wheels online or sold in hardware and office supply stores.. These are sold as a set of 5, but my chair only uses 4 wheels, so I’m saving the extra wheel in the unlikely event that one wheel stops working. These are really great wheels, and they make me look forward to using my chair!

It was a little bit of a pain to get one of my old wheels off. But that's when I notice there was one bad wheel on my chair. I always hated that when you want to roll you chair it would stick and then you have to move it sideways and then the way you want it to go...... I hated that. No more 2 wheels on a spoke, one wheel one each spoke and never get stuck. I got this for 3 reasons 1 - it was chrome and matched the under carriage 2 - it has a bridge/rim above the wheel and don't have to worry about your shoe getting caught in the wheel 3 - they are roller blades and super quiet, plus added bonus they are great on carpet and wood floors (no scuffs, rips or marks to worry about).

I bought these on the numerous recommendations I’d fellow shoppers who had purchased the same desk chair. I really love how quiet and smooth the operation of these wheels are. I chose these over some of the other options because I’d the chrome finish. I liked that it would blend more seamlessly with the legs on my chair. However, I am sincerely disappointed in the finish of the metal casings. The metal is all pitted and not smooth like I expect it to be. Makes them look cheap.

I just received these wheels and they feel awesome! I ordered the 2.5 inch because I wasn't sure if they would have been taller than the wheels that came with my chair. The install was extremely easy and took me about 30 seconds to replace all 5. The construction feels solid, the bracket is chrome so it matches my chair base and the wheels are gray so they have a seamless look. They glide very smooth on my tile floor and I definitely recommend getting these. This was a great purchase! They look awesome on my chair! Thank you for a quality product!

Fit well and matched the appearance of my vintage desk chair. They glide very well, so well that I had to get a rug because I was slowly sliding away from my desk on hardwood floors.

Fit snugly without any issue on a new Beautyrest office chair from Staples. The seem very sturdy with a sealed bearing for the wheel and a typical cone/cup arrangement for the swivel which was also lubricated with grease. The wheels look to be the same as used in my inline skates so I cant imagine them ever wearing out on a chair. I'll upgrade this to five stars if everything is good in 6 months of use.

Perfect casters! The silver colour complements the silver base. Fantastic smooth swivel. Glides perfectly over flat flooring. There is also easy access to the ball bearings enabling me to grease the bearings in 3-4 years time when required. (This is generally required of any ball bearing)My only wish is that there was a little bigger wheel size to make it just that tiny bit easier to glide over carpet.Great product, would definitely buy again! Do you guys sell expandable stem castors for a stem 500mm?
