Awesome brush set with hard to find round brush. I bought these as a gift for a friend and she absolutely loved them. Very attractive set, great quality, she said she'd definitely recommend them.

Great Brushes for the Price
I use these for dry brushing minis and they do a pretty good job. They aren't Artis Opus by any stretch, but for the price they are great. I've lost a few hairs in mine here and there, but the application is smooth and clean. Much better than makeup brushes for nearly the same price. The only issue I have encountered, on the larger brushes the ferrule is slightly loose, a quick drop of glue at the end would fix it, but it doesn't bother me enough to even do that. These are solid brushes and when mine finally die, I'll order again without hesitation.

very good as long as pricing stays low
Natural hair use and thickness of these brushes create some manufacturing challenges. You can see from my picture how stray hairs are popping up. Lint loves to get as deep as possible into these and, while it is very difficult to get out during a normal cleaning process, it will get out during painting one of your miniatures. Murphy's Law I guess. Being natural hair made they do absorb water well and given how thick these are they end up absorbing a LOT of water. Experienced painters will control this during the painting process very well, all dependent of what kind of painting technique you use, of course. But even the most experienced painter will be faced with the water absorbing craziness during the cleaning process, where, you want it or not, you will have to dip the brush into warm water and use some kind of artist brush soap. If you used them for blending, then pigment will be absorbed deeper, and that makes it very hard to clean. From the point of view of painting techniques they are excellent for wet blending large areas, to create the basic color blocking of the miniature. Establishing the main color areas is a breeze using these brushes. For dry-brushing, if you are proficient with this technique, these brushes will bring it to the master level. So, yes , they are excellent. If you embrace the idea that dry-brushing brushes are sacrificial brushes anyway, then these are perfect. Combine this with a decent pricing, and you have the main reason for why I rated these so high. Do not have high expectations about reliability, though. Just in case there are doubts, I added a picture with a brush I have been using for over 30 years, a Citadel starter brush made in England. It is slightly worn, but keeps the tip and I am still using it nowadays. So one may conclude that I know how to take care of my brushes. I do not think these brushes will last more than a year for me.In conclusion, if you put in balance realistic expectations with a reasonable pricing, then these brushes are a very good option.
