Great resource with top notch information!
I purchased this title with the hopes of being able to use it with my students in my Aircraft Woodworking classes I teach in Central Virginia. I have purchased no less than three other titles over the months, and was disappointed with what was out there, available on the complex subject of wood bending. Mr. Schleining's book, cover the subject thoroughly and with excellent photographic depictions of his suggested techniques. Several of the other titles just show sketches of how wood is supposed to be bent, but when you try these techniques, they do not work well. Or they show massive commercial machines used to make commercial furniture. Not something I am interested in. One of the most valuable aspects of the title is that the author shows steps that do not work and then he explains why the wood failed. This is really, well done. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to steam/cold bend wood successfully.John GaertnerBSA, LLCKeswick, VA

Very good book for wood bending
I definitely recommend this book for wood bending (especially for beginners who have no previous idea of the technique). The book is detailed and illustrated with good pictures. The author explains the methods used, including the advantages and disadvantages of every procedure. The book is supported with a CD, which is very effective and will help you build your own wood working project as if you had a guide besides you.

EASY
This is a practical, easy to understand approach to bending wood. It's light on the plans area but for the mid to advanced wood worker that shouldn't be at issue anyway. I have shown the this to my friends who are wood workers and to a person they all said that they will be getting it

Another Great Bending Wood book, must get
Loved the book, the types of methods and how to make your forms and I can see why those whom have not made forms waste wood and resources...They need to read this book and minimize their wasting of wood.
