This is a most for anybody who likes fashion, but especially Prada. The book is beautiful though out with plenty of fashion to make your mouth water. And the price is well worth it,mind you want do you expect from Amazon.

A fitting signature
Massively expensive elsewhere, a bargain from Amazon.Beautifully made, a real journey through a fashion house across time and trends, styles and events. Not your average puff piece coffee table book.

Prada
Prada was established in 1913 by Mario Prada and his brother Martino as a leather goods shop in Milan. Initially, the shop sold leather goods and imported English steamer trunks and handbags. Miuccia Prada joined the company in 1970, eventually taking over for her mother in 1978. She released a shoe line in 1984, and in 1985 released the "classic Prada handbag" that became an overnight sensation. In 1989 Prada launched its first women's ready-to-wear collection, the designs came to be known for their dropped waistlines and narrow belts and Prada's popularity skyrocketed. Prada's originality made it one of the most influential fashion houses and the brand became a premium status symbol in the 1990’s. Men's ready-to-wear collections were launched in the mid 1990’s.Prada is the first book that documents three decades of fashion, architecture, film and art including the work of the design studio and the workshop. The book documents the craftsmanship of the factories, it has images of the fashion shows and it gives an overview of all Prada's collections with thumbnail pictures of many different looks. The book isn't all visuals it does have some written details about the production, designs and each aspect of Prada from initial ideas through to point of sale.I can’t say in all honesty that I like all of Prada’s work, at times their use of fabrics, the silhouette, colour and pattern choices are not always to my taste and I find some of their footwear and bags ugly. I don't feel this book will be for everyone. But if you collect, wear or just appreciate Prada then you must have this book, which is beautifully presented with true Prada styling. The book showcases many of Prada's stores, but I could have done without the architectural descriptions, for me they are rather dry and probably more professionally oriented.I had wished for the inclusion of more critical text, and I feel the thumbnails could have been used more effectively to show more viewable items as they can't really be seen without a magnifying glass, and even then the images can hardly be fully appreciated, In addition, the backstage shots sometimes lack focus.A beautifully presented book, and a great success story, but ultimately one I feel for serious lovers of the Prada brand.
