I really like this product. It wasn't expensive but it feels really sturdy. It is like strong material on the outside with clear instructions and the usual two tabs to pull. The fact that it is material a normal picture hook will hang it but it won't sit flush with the wall. It gives me piece of mind having it in my house. I haven't had to use it yet and I hope I never will. The company who sell it have contacted me twice telling me it was dispatched and asking if I had any questions which I think is excellent customer service. The fire blanket arrived in good time and we'll packaged. I have to say I'm very pleased.

I can only assume it works as never want to try ! But it’s neat & compact so unobtrusive in a kitchen. Something every residence should have in my opinion

As other people have commented, this is a tricky product to review as it’s true usefulness/quality won’t be known until needing to put into action which I really hope doesn’t become the case. However, it appears to be good quality and I feel reassured to have it. A comforting piece of kit to have to hand in case of emergency especially considering the price.

My local Fire Brigade made their second visit in 5 years , all smoke alarms , detectors fitted f o c and of top quality.I had two extra fitted because last year I bought a mobile gas heater.Excellent service !

I bought this fire blanket three months ago thinking/hoping I'd never have to use it. we hung it on our wall using the hanging holeDespite my hope of never having to use it, I ended up using it this evening!I was cooking a batch of sausage rolls on greaseproof paper in a gas oven. Somehow (no idea how) the grease proof paper caught light. I didn't know what to do/how to react. My immediate reaction was to open a window (why?!) - but my fiancee remembered this fire blanket we'd hung on the wall. She was able to quickly whip it out, unfold it, and smother the fire. The fire went out in seconds. The blanket, wrapped round the tray then enabled us to handle the (still hot) oven tray, and move it to a safe place.Really impressed with this blanket - easy to access, easy to use, quick to work (a lot quicker than my reactions!). I've just placed an order for another one (as you can't reuse fire blankets once they've been used once).P.s. the three sausage rolls pictured had to be discarded due to charredness.

Good sturdy medal ringed hoop to hang the fire blanket on a wall making it highly visible. Put 2x20kg rated plaster wall fixings to hang this off. In extremis- ie if there is a fire- you would pull the tabs very sharply down. Absolutely no use if the sleeve came away with the blanket as valuable seconds would be lost. Happy to see that the hoop is robust and will not give way easily when the blanket tabs are pulled. Hope never to use it.
