Easy to break
It is basically a glass dish with a small slot in a plastic base to hold it. You take it out to turn it or flip it. It also seemed to have too little fluid in it to easily move the sand. I thought it would be cool for my 13 year old niece and it was broker within a month. And it was a little scary to handle without worrying about breaking. So not kid friendly and not really cool.

would not recommend or purchase againtoo much air inside to restrict sand movement, have to move or shake frequently to obtain sand movement

Bought for a gift and she loved it

Sand doesn't move
Definitely not what is pictured. The sand colors are pretty, but i have to shake it to get the sand to fall. It sat all week without moving just sand on top and nothing on bottom. Everyone asked what it does... apparently nothing? Disappointed for the price. Also very cheaply made, the glue or whatever holding the glass together looks like it's peeling off around the edges. Would not recommend at all.
