Chartier PRO Bassoon Reed - Medium

These reeds are really loud, probably the loudest I've ever played. It can be a little difficult to control because it is so free, but for the volume in full band settings, it's worth it! These are what I use in concert band because they are so loud and it's great. Buy them a strength up to help with control, otherwise its difficult to stay in tune, especially open F.

I wanted to try something new and went for this because of the reviews but turns out it really didn't work and was already broken when I got it.

Though I am not sure if this reed is handmade or not, I can say that it is (at least to me, it may be different for you) of handmade quality. I have not even broken it in fully and it is already playing very nicely. I would highly recommend this reed for any intermediate bassoon player that has either a solo or a part in a piece where they can be heard clearly.

Great reed. I've gotten this reed each school year, and never gotten a bad one!

My daughter loves this reed. We have been through several of them. Think we finally found the one to work and last.
