August DTA250 Indoor TV Aerial - Freeview HD TV Antenna for TV Tuner/Portable TVs/DAB Radio/Set Top Box at Home in Car while Camping - Integrated Magnetic Base - Black

May 2015 update. Had this since October 2014 and have used it all over the UK when caravanning. Never failed to get a good picture, far easier than the caravan aerial, not having to point in the transmitter direction and gets better reception. At Coniston Caravan Club site this last weekend and found it gave better reception and as least as many channels as the site bollard boosting connection. Going to but another one for my laptop in the study so I can watch/record TV. Bought this thinking at this price I've nothing to lose. Connected it up in the kitchen to an Avtex L187DRS TV which we use for our camping trips, no signal. Had read that putting it on to a metal surface is good so, being in the kitchen, I placed it (as you do) on an empty olive oil tin! Instant picture and good quality. Then took TV and aerial out to our VW California camper-van and plugged the TV into 12 volt socket for power and put the aerial onto the windscreen pillar. Powered up and immediately got good quality pictures on all the channels. Looking forward to trying it out in anger, as they say, but so far it looks like a very good acquisition and at this price a steal. Amazon more than usual great service, Ordered at 1:00 pm Saturday arrived following day, Sunday, at 10:30 am and this was on First Class delivery/ two working days. Well done.

This is probably the best indoor Freeview aerial I have bought. Over the years I've used many different types and brands for the TV in the bedroom and this seems to be the most reliable in terms of keeping the signal. A lot is down to positioning and it pays to move it around to find the best place to put it. I live in an area that has very good reception so I obviously can't comment on how it would work in areas where the reception isn't so good. I like the magnetic base. It's very strong and means you can position the aerial in places others wouldn't have gone which helps to find the best spot for optimal signal. Good price. I would happily buy again if needed in the other rooms.

Couldn’t get a signal even from the top floor of a three storey building with no surrounding structures that could affect reception

I bought this having found the roof mounted aerial is faulty in my new house. For £5 it is difficult to argue with. It is well built and with a bit of experimentation allowed me to receive a Freeview signal at the same strength as with the roof mounted aerial where I was living before. I have two criticisms that have cost it a star in my review. The first is that a longer cable would be more useful. 1.5m isn't really very far, particularly if the cable needs to be routed to be out of sight. The second is that the cable didn't appear to be well shielded (if at all, given the cable's diameter) and other cables running in parallel seemed to introduce enough interference to significantly degrade my signal quality. This was most noticable with a mains power cable. With careful positioning and the cable routed away from others the aerial works well.

C'mon fellas, size doesn't matter! Under virtually all conditions and in virtually all locations this aireal gives a clear picture. It does the job very well.

This Aerial is OK for the price. You have to be selective where you put it though and, although it will pull in loads of TV stations the quality of the picture is not good on all of them (to such an extent that some of them can't be watched - and this is where the position is vital). The BBC and ITV stations are perfect though.

I was looking for an aerial to get some good reception due to our home being in a dip and hard to recieve any good signal plus the aerial roof had broke. So I found this little beauty. After arriving so quick I set up within a few seconds and searched for some channels via the set up box. I was sceptical that it would find nothing due to the poor reception. But to my delight it came up with over 100 channels. The quality is great and now we can watch TV in the back room while someone watches TV in the front room. It is a nice little aerial, easily can be hidden and still will work great. The length of the cable on the aerial of which you connect to the tele is a good length maybe could be made longer but no issue for us. If it needed to be longer you can always buy a coax extender cable. Overall this cable is great and I would recommend to everybody. I am very pleased with the seller. Exceeded my expectations. This item is very hit and miss. I've found that - if I wish to watch ITV/Channel 4 etc - I have to change the entire direction of the aerial and lose the channels I've already managed to tune in. It's not possible to simply aim this item in one direction and get a decent signal for all channels; in fact, pointed in some directions, it doesn't find any signal at all. If you're looking for a good indoor aerial, don't buy this one.

Good magnetic for campervan bit not yet set up for signal

Proprio questo pomeriggio ho ricevuto l'antenna per la mia Smart TV LG (con Internet, WiFi, etc). In casa ho l'attacco per l'antenna centralizzata, ma dovrei fare un collegamento con canaline che i miei gatti rosicchiano regolarmente. Ho deciso di optare per l'acquisto di quest'antenna. Finchè non l'ho collegata al televisore (non necessita di alimentatore, corrente o presa a muro) ero un po' scettica riguardo le effettive potenzialità di questo piccolo dispositivo (circa 16 cm di altezza), ma con una base abbastanza pesante che evita sbilanciamenti. Prima utilizzavo una di quelle antennine (simili ai vecchi baffi) mobili e anche qui la resa era molto altalenante, legata anche ai vari passaggi dei miei gatti dietro il mobile della TV. Oggi ho finalmente risolto il problema. Appena l'ho collegata le immagini sono risultate perfette. Adesso non sono più presenti i fastidiosi rumori o quadratini (nel verso senso del termine) sull'immagine. Abito all'ottavo piano e forse questo particolare mi avvantaggia, però posso sinceramente dire: "Perchè non l'ho acquistata prima?". Prezzo irrisorio e risultati perfetti.

Kullanmaya başladım ancak belirtildiği gibi kanalların görüntü kalitesi olarak extra bir şey katmadı. Normal bir antelle de bu kadar zaten görüntü kalitesi alıyorum.
