I've used this product for clearing a driveway and patio for a couple of years, buying concentrate in 2.5l containers from a garden centre, needing six to treat the whole lot. It is getting difficult to source locally so I was very pleased to see it available on Amazon. The 20l container is difficult to pour from initially with some waste as it is heavy and completely full, so splashes. The tamper proof top needed a wrench to loosen. However, it soon becomes easier when the first 5l are used.I have protected trees, nearby lawn and plants, and two cats. None of them have complained about this product, which is the only one I have confidence to use around them. The effect takes a couple of days at least to see the initial effect and longer to mature, but it is much more convenient and cleaner than jet-washing. It must be allowed to dry, but after that rain does not seem to matter.1l of concentrate makes 4l of product and covers about 20 sqm. I use a spray and wet the surface as evenly as I can. Pooling can leave a white precipitate, but it clears away after rain. I accidentally sprayed over a manhole cover, and it rusted up. They do warn you about not doing that! Move the car well away, and any metal furniture. Until dry it smells strongly of vinegar.I think this is wonderful stuff and recommend it.

I really like this product. I have have used it for the better part of 10 years and I go back to it time after time. I treat my block paving patio and driveway in Spring and sometimes again in Autumn depending on weather conditions and weed growth. I find it to be an effective weed treatment as well as keeping my patios algae free. Application is easy as I use a sprayer and the recommended 3:1 ratio. I get good results if the spray is not too misty but more like a very fine and controlled watering can. I try to aim for a slightly crusty white deposit at the edge of my paving blocks as this tends to give good weed/ moss control. Results seen in about a week although impact on weeds can been seen much sooner. Overspray will burn plants and grass so some care is required during spraying. Easy to apply and effective at keeping my patios looking good. What more could I ask for?

Works well. Seems to last 6 months if it rains a lot - slightly more if it stays drier during the summer instead of the godawful year we have had oop North this year, but that's a whle other story.Caution: This stuff seems to rot rubber seals/O rings etc if you are using a sprayer. So use clean water afterwards to flush that baby out.

Very clean paths a few weeks after applying. No green and no slippery surface. Cost effective to buy the big one.

This stuff is brilliant. Forget jet washing your drive, wall or paths. Just spray this on and in a couple of days any green mold, mildew and even heavy moss is gone. The stone work returns to its normal colour.

We have a large patio area and low rendered walls which seem to just turn green over the winter. Our front steps are stone and they also look horrible and are slippery due to algae. I used this spray as soon as I received it. Definitely smelt of vinegar (so not a bad thing to spray around my pets) and to my amazement, over the last 4 months (the dreary wet winter months) my low walls have gradually turned grey (I missed a couple of bits and they are still green) and my front steps are almost white! It doesn't kill off the black algae, but I will certainly be using it all over the patio after we have washed it in preparation for the summer.

I have previously used this on my drive and pavement. It works very well, BUT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST PLEASE.We suffer from a major problem with algae in our street so I decided to purchase the large container rather than keep buying small 2.5ltr bottles. make sure you buy the CONCENTRATED not the ready to use as it works out a lot cheaper.I have used safely on my drive, decking and am currently testing on the edge of the conservatory room panel. Label says its save for animals and had not problems in that area. Once treated it should start to take effect. You will know by the smell of Seaweed that starts. Lasts a few days and the algae turns a brown colour and dies off. I suggest using a sprayer for best coverage. I also recommend using goggles and a mask.
