I bought this fan to replace a previous 25yr old fan which was getting noisy due to worn bearings.Wow! ... this fan is powerful, on its top setting you would think it was going to take off and it shifts a serious amount of air! On this setting, it is actually quite noisy, hardly surprising due to the amount of air being moved but on the lower settings (which you are more likely to use) it is much quieter and on the first setting, it is virtually silent.fitting was pretty straightforward, the model I bought has no remote facility and unlike my last fan, no built in ceiling light.The control unit comes without a back box and it is deeper than a standard switch box so be aware of this, you will need to fit it deeper into your wall and try and source a deeper back box for it, or fit it into the wall without a back box as I did, using sealant to attach the facia to the wall.Overall, it is easy enough to fit with a good connector system at ceiling level and so far, I am delighted with it both functionally and aesthetically.

Very easy to install with clear instructions. Works well with Westinghouse's IR Remote (not included) which is also super easy to add; I didn't bother fitting the included wall control. Simple very discreet design, hardly visible up in my 4m ceiling (I changed the 30cm rod to a 46cm one, not sure whether that was really needed). Note that the fan is capable of moving a LOT of air, the stated 36m2 is quite reasonable. Works excellent in a 15m2 bedroom on the lowest speed setting where it's very quiet. On higher speeds, the motor is still very quiet but the wings beating the air become noticable. The medium speed setting creates a serious draught with plants swaying, while the top speed will cause every speck of dust, kittens and pillows to go airborne. I'm very, very happy with this fan.

I bought this for my mums conservatory.It has a large diameter span, no lights and a long drop, perfect for the pitched roof.I'm not a sparky, but the instructions were easy to follow.I did have to buy a surface mounted pattress box (48mm from screwfix I think) in order for the wall controller to fit the back box.The mounting of the fan to the beam of the roof was a little more difficult, but this was down to the configuration of the roof structure and plastic trim rather than the fan mount itself. Not sure how other people do it but I filled the void behind the plastic cover with a wooden block and drilled through and tapped the aluminium runner to mount the fan. It was a bit of messing around but has given the fan mount a solid base and it is now stable during operation no matter what blade speed is selected. I know this is bit not really a review of the fan, but it is worth knowing this before buying so that you don't have any surprises when it comes to fitting, especially if you are going to install yourself. It's a really good fan for a conservatory and it runs relatively quietly considering the amount of air it shifts at high speed.

Very easy to fit and wire up. Seems well made with a switch to reverse the direction of the fan so that warm air at the top of a high-ceilinged room can be circulated around the whole room (it pulls the cold air up and drives the warm air across the ceiling and down the walls I suppose). It has made our industrial unit so much warmer than it was before.Of course in the normal direction it blows air down and the draught gives a cooling effect.It appears to be good quality and I cannot see a reason to pay more.

We purchased 3 of these fans for various rooms. They are terrific! Even though they are "industrial" they look beautiful and unobtrusive and seamlessly blend in with our period decor. They are the quietest ceiling fans we have ever owned and each of the 3 speeds is perfect. We bought the accompanying remotes and are very, very happy with this purchase.

The fan was easy to install and when operated between settings 1/2 very quite .. the quietest and most efficient fan I have ever bought .It gets a little noisy on setting 3, however I felt the setting was only needed occasionally as the lower settings were effective enough .A great product .

At no point when going through the purchase, did it state you had to have a light kit and convert yourself.Very disappointed.To rub salt in, cost me 60€ to return both fans.

I just hanged it from the ceiling, instead of bolting it. Works silently, only a whisper from the blade. Has changed our quality of life really.

Funderar på hur man styr belysningen i fläkten ? Det som medföljer ( fläktstyrning) funkar det inte med i alla fall ?

Dies ist jetzt schon mein zweiter Deckenventilator der Marke Westinghouse und ich wurde wieder nicht enttäuscht.Der Ventilator kommt teilweise vormontiert, es müssen lediglich noch die Flügel angeschraubt werden.Der Wandschalter ist äußert praktisch und für diesen Ventilator unverzichtbar, denn er ist inkompatibel mit Fernbedienungen und hat keinerlei Zugschnüre.Mann muss sich also klar drüber sein, das an der Stelle keine Deckenlampe mehr verbaut werden kann und der Ventilator selber ist ja auch ohne Leuchte.Die Montage des Schalters an sich ist denkbar einfach. Lichtschalter entfernen, die Kabel an den Wandschalter anklemmen und den Schalter in der Wand platzieren. Jedoch braucht man für diesen Schalter eine Dose, welche links und rechts ein Gewinde hat, da der Schalter nicht die üblichen Klemmen zum festschrauben verfügt.Der Sockel des Ventiltors ist auch recht einfach zu installieren, und wird mittels mitgelieferten 6er Dübeln und Schrauben an der Decke fixiert.Danach den Strom anklemmen, Ventilator einhängen und Steckverbindungen einrasten lassen.Abdeckungen fixieren und gut.Wichtig wäre noch anzumerken, das der Ventilator nur mit langer Stange geliefert wird und man eine entsprechend hohe Decke haben sollte, laut Anleitung soll der mindestabstand zwischen Ventilator und Boden 3,20 Meter betragen.Wer also eine normale Raumhöhe von 2,xx Metern hat sollte sich ein anderes Produkt zulegen, da der Ventilator aus Metall ist und sich sehr schnell dreht. Sonst wird dieser Ventilator ganz schnell zum Frisör oder schlimmeres.Ich nutze ihn im Schlafzimmer und lasse ihn Nachts auf langsamste Stufe laufen(wegen seines großen Durchmessers von 142 cm reicht das vollkommen aus) dabei gibt es eine angenehme frische Brise und man hört ihr wirklich garnicht. Auf Stufe 2,3 und 4 ist er aber merklich zu hören. Mich erinnert das Geräusch an die Rotorblätter eines Helikopters (flap, flap, flap, flap) ;)

Ich suchte Ersatz für einen Standventilator im Schlafzimmer, da mich dieser sehr störte. Suchte daher einen Deckenventilator zu einem vernüftigen Preis und guter Qualität.Gefunden bzw probiert hab ich Westinghouse. Fazit: leichte Montage, sehr wertiger Eindruck bei den Materialien, Lautstärke: bei Stufe 1 u. 2 nicht bis kaum hörbar, 3 u. 4 probier ich nichtmal da Stufe 2 schon mehr als genug Luft in bewegung setzt. Für das Schlafzimmer ist Stufe 1, mehr als ausreichend.Ps: Beim Singel ist bereits ein Stufen-Wahlschalter dabei, auch wenn es sich anders liest in der Beschreibung

Fácil instalación, bonito diseño y muy buen resultado funcional. Recomendable. Llevo ya 4 comprados y todos funcionando al 100%

buon prodotto. stabile, con grande portata di aria. usato in una sala di 80mq alta 4 mt. muove tanta aria . utile soprattutto di inverno facendo circolare l aria calda che si stratifica in alto, rendendo il riscaldamento più efficace. prezzo competitivo . spero che duri quanto quelli di marche più famose. usato con telecomando economico universale di dubbia marca , ma funziona bene. anche con controllo ir wifi.
