SmoothSkin for Men IPL Permanent Hair Reduction

Hi i Would to ask Is there a Different between the Golden Smooth for men And the Women Or Its the Same machine ?? Greetings Florian

I find it odd that people are saying this is targeted for men, i went to the smoothskin website to buy direct as u get a 30 day moneyback guarentee. In the website there is no such thing as one for women and a differebt one for men, they have the smoothskin bare and smoothskin gold. Neither are targeted to either men or women. The gold is more expensive than the gold probably as it looks easier to hold but with the gold you have a certain amount if flashes but the bare states unlimited and flashes every 0.6 seconds giving 100 flashes per minute. The gold states it flashes once every second, so only 60 per minute. Best off going for the smoothskin bare.

On the 6week, hair still grows exactly the same, I used it two flash's on each section of my back, was like dodgy electric shock, if I could put no stars out of five I would and I am giving one more week and if it don't work in sending it back !!

I usually don't leave reviews but i think in this particular case is important to mention my results.I guess the results can vary from person to person, but in my case, it didn't work at all. I have a pale skin with black hair (the ideal conditions) and strong hair. I used it in normal mode (not gentle) and the lateral leds were almost all lighted on.I tried it for 12 weeks on the chest, back and shoulders and i can say the reduction was like 5% at most. I notice very small patches where the hair didn't grow for an week or two but then it came back again, even using the device. I tried shaving before, with Philips Bodygroom and with a Mach 3 razor and the results were the same.After 12 weeks with almost no results, i contacted the company and they told me to continue to use it for some more weeks. After 4 or 5 more weeks with no results, i contacted Amazon and thankfully even the 90 days were already gone, they full refunded me.I think IPL technology isn't for everyone. A couple years ago, i had some professional treatment with a professional device and the results weren't amazing neither. The results were way better than this device but even after 4 or 5 sessions i still had 50 or 60% of hair and after i stopped the treatment they all grow again in a short period.

I'll start this review with a confession: I'm not a man. I reasoned that this might still work on my delicate lady hair....that being said, the list of warnings and people who should not use this device is so long that I was left wondering who on earth the manufacturers WOULD recommend it for. The safety warnings make it sound like it has the potential to be really dangerous, and there are so many provisos about it not being effective on certain hair colours, dangerous for certain skin tones, do not use if you have chronic skin conditions, do not use if you tan, do not use around varicose veins, do not use on areas where you have moles or freckles, etc, that it felt like using it would be taking my life in my hands! Not only that, but there are strict instructions not to "overlap" the areas treated with the machine - how on earth would you keep track??? - and to only treat once a week.In the end, I decided to risk it - although my light hair falls into the category of probably not being effectively treated with this device. And I've not been using it long enough to know if that's the case or not. What I can say about the actual treatments is that I found the device really easy to use. It's ready to go from the box, comfortable to hold, the lights let you know when it's ready to use (both skin tone sensors have to be in contact with skin or it won't fire) and I found the treatment itself so painless as to wonder why a gentle setting is even necessary (though from reading other reviews I see that it's definitely more painful for some people). Do remember to look away when you press the button though - even with my eyes closed, I still got an intense flash of red light.I can't use epilators as my skin is too sensitive for them (and they don't seem to do much good) so if this proves effective I'd be really tempted to stick with it as a replacement - but the hassle of making sure not to overlap treatments and my worries about the safety of the whole thing do give me pause. If you're planning to use IPL treatment anyway, this is definitely cheaper than a salon, but it's still a significant investment so I'd recommend doing your research and making sure it's right for you before you buy.

time will tell on how good this is but I can tell you I have been impressed, it promises bold things and should they deliver then fair play, if not and I will update this review later on then we have all been burnt money wise. speaking of burnt the pain in hair removal isn't too bad, it will never be pain free but this was bearable and then some so get it if you have the coin and the need.

I used this amazing machine for my back and shoulders. Nothing happened till 5th week, but after 6th treatment i can clearly see and feel the difference. Now i am at my 10th session, 75% of my hair was gone and the rest became finer hair. They are so weak and grow very slowly.

Didn't work for me at all and my beautician who is currently using a laser to take off my beard informed my they just don't work anywhere near as well.

Did not work the hair keeps comming back
