All in all very happy with my purchase and delivery was excellent
I bought this phone to use in South Africa. Initially I was concerned as it wasn't working - no dial tone, couldn't make calls. The instruction manual did advise to use the cables supplied with the unit. However, as we don't use the flat jacks (white bt connector) to plug into the telephone junction box in SA, I used a double ended rj11 plug from the telephone base to the wall. This unfortunately didn't work. I started reading reviews where other buyers had bought it for use in other countries and had a similar issue. Until they bought the 'bt - rj11 adapter' and this seemed to fix the problem. I managed to source a similar adapter here in SA, for quite cheap (which included the integrated ring capacitor). After connecting the supplied cables to this adapter and plugging the rj11 connector into the junction box, it worked perfectly! As for the phone, compared to the rubbish that's only available to us here in SA, it's an absolute gem! It exceeds my expectations and a very handy piece of equipment, especially due to the loudspeaker and that you can attach a headset for those extra long conversations. All in all very happy with my purchase and delivery was excellent. So if you in SA and thinking of getting this phone, you won't regret it.

Works well - Good for Headset too
Purchased this as the previous version wore out after 5 or 6 years of hard use. I've had this for 3 or 4 weeks now and it works well. I'm a headset wearer (I use the cheap plantronics ones which last about 6 months with me) so having a headset port is a must.. Phone seems well made, easy to set up, nice big buttons and a clear display with all the usual features you'd expect.

Does not pair with other BT base units
I got this as working from home I needed a cordless phone, that had a phone jack so I could use a headset. This seemed to be the best solution. Works great, with 2.5mm headset jack.Unfortunately one of the main reasons I decided to get this was I thought it would pair with the base unit for the BT-3570 which we already had at home, and just use the base unit as a charger in the room I was working from. This did not work well as the line had so much static that people could barely hear me with or without the additional headset. I had to install a new phone socket extension into the room I was using to allow the base to be connected to the phone line directly, and pair the handset with its original base

Great landline phone with headset Jack
I searched for this for a long time. I work from home and needed a landline with no answer machine and a headset Jack. You need a telephone headset, regular headphones won’t work I bought a 2.5mm Landline Telephone Headset it plugs into the handset and they work great together. You can also put this handset on loudspeaker if that is what you need. A great handset and perfect for working from home if you need a phone with a Jack

Not recommenced for use on speakerphone
The audio on this phone is very quite even on full volume. Also I am told that when on loudspeaker it echos. I tried it with headset and no better. Would not have bought it had I known but now totally unpacked so cannot send back.

Works with Headsets, Compatible with Gigaset
I am working from home and now need to make a lot of phone calls by landline. I don't have a wired extension into my home office, so was looking for a DECT phone that would accept a headset. There aren't many, but this is one. I was easily able to connect my Plantronics headset via a 2.5mm 4 pole QD adapter. We already have a pair of Gigaset DECT handsets for general use and I was delighted to remember that (some? all?) DECT handsets are compatible between manufacturers. I have now registered this handset to my Gigaset basesattion and just use the BT base station as a charger in my office and the phone connects via the Gigaset basestation. Perfect solution for my needs.

If you have SIGHT ISSUES, then this is not for you!!
I felt a bit conned by this BT Phone. BT should know better than to put a sticker over the screen that makes the letters/numbers look bigger & far more solid than they really are!! I needed a basic phone but with good backlight (pref orangy) i only use glasses for reading . normally with good backlight & a solid display i have no problems seeing incoming calls or dialing out without glasses. I quite liked the feel of this little phone so put it on charge straight away.....the next day i was preparing to set up the cables when i removed the clear sticker (with black solid print) from the front display to discover... Thin, non solid letters that looked grey in colour & that was after i put my glasses on! A completely misleading bit of sales trickery in my opinion. I have returned the phone as the sticker misrepresented the phones display. I had an exchange for a different phone but i could have had a refund if i wanted.

Good quality headset enabled phone.
Nice phone with handy features not present on most handsets. Belt clip and 2.5mm mono headset jack socket was my principle reason for purchase. Fiddly to insert headset as rubber dust cover has to be moved to side. Two can be bought and operated from one basestation, but the second base station cannot act as a repeater which is a shame. Gap so your old gap compatible handsets can be registered and work but not charge. Polyphonic ting tones can be paired to phone Book groups. Volume and loudspeaker seem okay, though I have heard people say I am quiet. All in all good quality and value.
