Heavy duty, better than expected
It seems like power strips are built so cheap any more, to the point of being unsafe. This one appears to be quite solid. The chassis is thin but strong metal. The outlets feel like they hold the plugs securely, and the power cord is flexible but durable.

Works well
It does what it advertises and it looks good too. The feel is solid and has worked great for me so far. The cord is long enough to be really convenient in a place that has very few outlets.

Great for the workbench!
I wanted something to attached to some wood shelving above a workbench in my garage, and this has done the trick nicely. The metal construction is super heavy-duty, and the cord (also very heavy) is long enough to reach an outlet on the other side of the table. switch has held up well (I use it to turn the light about the workbench on and off, in addition to having multiple battery chargers going into it. A couple of screws into the shelves give this a nice and secure mount. Perfect for what it sets out to do!

Kinda cheap feeling
First and foremost, this does not have a surge protector so if you're looking for one with that, this would not be it, but it works. The cord is fine, easy to plug in and operate. But the plastic casing is not very heavy duty feeling. It is kind of light and not very super. Best quality, but it works and good Price, so if you are looking for something basic, this would be it, it works.

Reliable, heavy-duty power solution for your workshop or industrial space
First and foremost, the build quality of this power strip is outstanding. The metal socket design adds a level of sturdiness and durability that is essential for industrial use. The robust construction ensures that it can withstand the demands of a busy workshop or industrial setting, where equipment and tools are plugged in and unplugged frequently. The six outlets are well-spaced, allowing me to plug in a variety of devices and tools without any crowding. The addition of a 6-foot SJT 3/C 14AWG extension cord provides ample length, giving me the flexibility to mount the power strip in a convenient location while still reaching distant power sources. The cord itself feels sturdy and well-insulated, contributing to the overall safety of the power strip. The included mounting brackets are a thoughtful addition. They make installation a breeze and provide a secure way to fix the power strip to the wall or workbench. This feature is particularly useful in an industrial setting where equipment movement and vibrations are common. The power strip stays firmly in place, preventing accidental disconnections and ensuring uninterrupted power supply.Another aspect I appreciate is the ETL certification. Knowing that the power strip has undergone rigorous testing for safety and performance gives me peace of mind while using it in my workspace. Safety is of utmost importance, especially when dealing with electrical equipment, and the ETL certification is a reassuring mark of quality. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Oviitech Metal Socket Wall Mount Power Strip to anyone in need of a reliable, heavy-duty power solution for their workshop or industrial space. Its sturdy construction, multiple outlets, ample extension cord, and convenient mounting options make it a standout product for professionals in various industries.

Metal construction and mountable
There is not a lot to say about the electrical performance of this power strip compared to others since it is just a power strip. What makes this worth the money (not that it is that much more expensive) is the fact that it can be mounted using the brackets and that it is of metal construction. I have mounted power strips in the past and that can make them much more useful in certain situations. If you have the need for a power strip that COULD end up being knocked around a bit and you want to mount it, then choose this over a cheap plastic power strip.

Finally! An ETL Listed Product!
I can't tell you how frustrated I have been looking for decent power strips that are actually ETL or UL listed/certified. This one actually is. I picked up this strip for use on one of my workbenches and I was thrilled to find it.The hard metal body seems like it can tolerate quite a bit of damage and the ETL Listing makes me comfortable using it in the workshop. The mounting mechanism is a little clunky, but it works just fine. The 14 AWG wire will help prevent overheating due to a heavy load. This is advertised as Surge Surprising, but it does not have an external breaker. It is likely fused inside, which means you would need to replace it if you took a power hit, but your devices may survive. For the price and durability, this one is a no-brainer if you are in the market for a nice, rigid power strip.

Other than product page, no evidence of surge protection.
As far as I am able to determine, this is a 15A, 120V (US), 1800W (1440W continuous) power strip. Apart from the product-page declaration, there is no external indication that this is a surge protector, i.e., no joules or clamping voltage listed and no label or imprint that claims it to be a surge protector.Lacking demonstrable surge protection, I use this as a power strip for non-sensitive workshop power tools – only.
